We stayed for 4 nights and Antonella could not have been more helpful. We truly think we made the most of our trip helped by her useful tips. The accommodation was in a fantastic location allowing us to visit everywhere by foot (only using the underground once thankfully). Great supply of snacks which kept us going, funky decor and really... More

My wife and I stayed at Gli in Sept of 2014. This was the first time either of us stayed at a bed and breakfast so we were not sure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised. The accommodations were wonderful and Antonella was amazing to work with. From the booking all the way to our stay and while... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Gli Scipioni in July 2014 upon the recommendation of a friend who had stayed there several years prior. It was just a fabulous as she described. Antonella was the perfect host. She was so warm and friendly and very gracious. The B&B is like a 3-room flat with each bedroom having its own private... More

I ended up traveling alone to Rome for 10 nights and stayed at the wonderful Gli Scipioni B&B. Antonella, helped me daily, the food was fresh,my room was cleaned daily (Jose was fabulous) and I was treated as family. EXCELLENT stay and I cannot thank Antonella enough for her guidance, phone calls to assist me,etc. In the heart of Rome and... More

A very warm and informative wellcome from Antonella on our arival. She was eager to make our stay as good as possible and nothing was too much trouble for her. The room was clean and comfortable and the self service breakfast was varied and plenty full. The area was nice, the b&b is very close to a metro station- the bus... More

I loved the room I was given in this Bed and Breakfast... Antonella is a wonderful host and I enjoyed greatly meeting here and getting her insights into the city. This B&B is better than staying in a hotel where you are just treated like a number, this is a personal experience and the facilities in my view are better... More

we had spent several days looking for the right place to stay in Vatican and none was suitable due to distance or due to the past bad reviews while i was searching trip advisor, we finally found the Gli sciphioni and i am glad to have found it and having decided to stay therein. It is just 4 minutes to... More

We were planning on taking our 13 year old grandson for a short trip to Rome and this b & b sounded good, good value and well located. So I telephoned and got through to Antonella, walking her dog in the park. It sounded fine so I booked it, and a taxi to meet us at the airport. I began... More

This B&B is in a central location, about a 5 minutes walk to St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museum, and one block away from the train station. There is a church also about a block way to attend Sunday mass. The room was clean and trendy. Antonella was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely return to Gli Scipioni... More

without a doubt, this is the greatest BB in Rome, walking distances to the Vatican and the metro, with great restaurants right below you. Antonella does a great job, not only keeping the kitchen stocked with everything from eggs, milk, bread, AND ice cream, but she goes out of her way to see if you need any help with tours... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
