I stayed there for a week with my family. The rooms are very clean, Elena is a great host, helping a lot to people, she speaks English, Spanish and French. WiFi is free, the neibourhood is quite calm, the room was equipped with a small fridge. If you wish to have working air-conditioning you have to pay 2€ a day.... More

I loved staying at the B&B Testaccio because of the simple but very clean rooms, great neighborhood and atmosphere, not very far but away from the busy centre. Elena is so great, she will help you with every question you have. She is providing a free map of the city and a very detailed other map of beautiful Trastevere neighborhood... More

I chose this place in large part because of all of the good things said about Elena. She was very nice and quite charming, but was not around very much to help us with questions. We did get a good overview the first morning, but after that it was hard to catch her. The room for four was very clean... More

Hello! Just to say to everyone that Expedia write in their own part that the transportation from/to airport is included. If you ask them they will organize it. In my own page never is write that I have a free transfert service. If my Guests need it and ask me I organize it for them and I don't take nothing... More

Stayed here for 8 days during our honeymoon trip. Of course it's not a fancy place but me and my husband didn't really care about fancy. We just wanted something comfortable and affordable and this was just the perfect place. Elena was just so wonderful and very helpful with everything. We also really loved the Testaccio neighborhood. Not a lot... More

My son and his wife and new baby live in Rome, so rather than intrude on their family life we picked a B & B on the next street. Good choice! We have just got back from staying with Elena and would definitely go back. We decided that last Sunday it was raining so rather than walk around Rome in... More

We arrived late in the evening and Elena was there to greet us. She had sent a driver to the airport to pick us up which was very helpful since it was our first trip to Rome. The room was very clean and comfortable and is located in a nice residential neighborhood. You get a voucher for the cafe next... More

We had a super stay for 7 nights in September 2014. Elena was SUPER NICE! She gave us a total run down of what to do in Rome, what buses to catch, how to get about and what to look out for. She was friendly and attentive but not nosy or over the top. she just let us get on... More

It had all the necessities! Our personal bathroom was very clean. Elena was very warm and helpful. She gave us a map of Rome and told us which buses to take so it's not hard to get from major sites to the B&B. Although, you have to pay an extra ?5 to use airconditioner, but we just opened the windows... More

I experienced the B&B vicariously when we put my mum up there recently for 5 nights. Elena was so welcoming, and spoke excellent English (my mum has no Italian), plus did a great job explaining breakfast (vouchers for the downstairs bar). Mum's very spacious (double) room had a really lovely modern en suite bathroom (which she rated highly), loads of... More

This B & B is within walking distance to the historic center of Rome, and close to the metro, train station and bus stops . There is a supermarket downstairs which is very convenient. It's located in a nice neighborhood, and Elena was a great host. Breakfast downstairs consists of a large croissant, juice and a cappuccino which was quite... More

Staying in Testaccio

Neighborhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighborhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
