My sister recommended Casa Romana to me, after her stay the previous year. It's in a great location in Rome, near the train station which worked our very well for us. Fulvia could not have been any kinder to myself, my two children (9 and 12), and to my brother. She prepared a lovely breakfast every day (we stayed 3... More

What a lovely welcome from Angelini the owner, so charming, friendly and helpful. It is a five minute walk from the Termini station for those arriving by train or the coach from the airport. We booked what was called an apartment, we had a lobby with a fridge and kettle, and a wardrobe. The shower room was very modern, plenty... More

This was like a home away from home for me! As a lone female traveller, I felt safe and very comfortable. Located on the other side of Roma Termini, I had no problems with the area (despite stories on how shady and sleazy the area can be) Infact I felt safe throughout my time in Rome. The city comes alive... More

We stayed here for 3 nights during our visit to Italy and we're not disappointed. Fulvia was the perfect hostess, recommending places to visit, routes to take and places to eat. She provided maps to take and guide books to borrow. The room itself was very spacious and even included a cute little breakfast table. The breakfast was standard continental... More

I recently stayed at Casa Romana in October 2014, this is a must place stay in rome. Accomodation is central to Termini station and all transport networks within a 5 minute walk. All main attractions are walkable from here. The host was a female who greets you and tells you everything youd need to know, from places to visit, places... More

Just back from a 4 night stay in Casa Romana. Very accessible accomodation close to Termini station. Fuliva was an excellent host who was always on hand to answer any questions or make suggestions regarding where to visit, what bus to get or where is good to eat. She is very passionate about Rome and was always interested on how... More

I found this B&B through Tripadvisor with No.1 ranking among all B&B in Rome. (Even though it was No.2 now, it is still the No.1 B&B for me.) I got the contact email at the official website. Fulvia, the hostress, was kind in answering questions and quick in response. The price was also affordable for a single room. I arrived... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
