Thank you Fulvia for a wonderful 3 nights in Rome. This B & B is ideally situated close to the station but a very safe area. Fulvia was wonderful and so knowledgeable about Rome, what to see, where to eat, best transport options. I do not think we could have chosen anywhere better. Breakfast was great and made by Fulvia... We wanted to share with everyone the amazing experience we had in Casa Romana. Fulvia is an excellent host and a very great and warm human being. She helped us with everything and the B&B is what we needed to feel at home. If we decide to visit Rome again, we would definitely stay at Casa Romana. Thank you Fulvia!!!!... More

I stayed at Casa Romana for 3 days, just recently returning from my trip. Fulvia was a wonderful host. Fulvia can provide you directions to the location beforehand- she then meets you there to give you a tour. Note- this room is situated in a flat with 3 other rooms located inside a building. It is very close to Roma... More

We picked this 'hotel' due to it being so close to the station and the incredible ratings it has! Bit tricky to find, even with google maps. But Fulvia was waiting for us outside, I hope she wasn't waiting for too long! She was a very gracious hostess and explained everything and even gave us a map and suggestions on... More

I can definitely say it was my home away from home. From the perfect location, to the cosy bedroom, amazing breakfast and the warm hospitality of Fulvia, everything was top. Fulvia is the nicest hostess ever. Each day she was there to prepare our lovely breakfast with fresh fruits, bread, yogurt and the BEST homemade italian coffee and then to... More

For Christmas my boyfriend and I stayed at Casa Romana for a few days. The location is great, since it's close to the train station and feels safe to walk around in the night. The owner of the B&B, Fulvia, is extremely helpful and nice, giving us all kinds of info about the city, restaurants and places to see "just... More

My sister recommended Casa Romana to me, after her stay the previous year. It's in a great location in Rome, near the train station which worked our very well for us. Fulvia could not have been any kinder to myself, my two children (9 and 12), and to my brother. She prepared a lovely breakfast every day (we stayed 3... More

What a lovely welcome from Angelini the owner, so charming, friendly and helpful. It is a five minute walk from the Termini station for those arriving by train or the coach from the airport. We booked what was called an apartment, we had a lobby with a fridge and kettle, and a wardrobe. The shower room was very modern, plenty... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
