I booked the Torre Colonna as part of a special birthday weekend away for my partner. From before our visit right till the moment we left the service given was superb. Sarah owns and runs a gem of a guest house right in the centre of Rome, a few minutes walk to the Coliseum, 15 minutes walk to the Trevi... More

An incredible long weekend in Rome was made incredible by this fantastic hotel. Quirky medieval tower in central location, a short walk from all the major sights. I travel a lot and have never had a warmer welcome. A 6 star recommendation from this well travelled chap.

Have just returned from a 3night break . I must highly recommend the Torre Colonna. It is without doubt situated in the best possible location . Within easy walking distance to the Coliseum , Trevi Fountain , The Panthenon and the Spanish Steps . The room was very comfortable with both Tea and Coffee making facilities . Fitted bathroom en... This is a late, but well deserved review. My family traveled to Italy for my cousin's wedding in Rome. She was able to secure 4 of the rooms for 4 of our families. We stayed there for a week. No words or photos can really describe the top-notch service and accommodations that you will receive at this bed and breakfast.... More

Spent three nights in the two bedroom "suite". The hotel is very small, having four rooms, one per floor in this converted tower. Breakfast to get you going for the day is served on the fifth floor and there is a nice view from the sixth floor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location, just a few steps from the... More

My husband and I spent 5 nights earlier this month in this quirky little hotel: a mediaeval tower ingeniously converted into a 6-bedroom mini hotel, perfectly located for walking to all the main sights of Rome and to good restaurants. Owned by an English woman and run by a Philipino called Alvin and Ukranian called Igor, we could have asked... More

It's a unique hotel in a medieval tower with 5 rooms, a room on each floor. The owner and staff make every effort to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The location is central and within walking distance from the major attractions in Rome. Breakfast was great and our room was generously equipped with a new and modern bath.... More

This hotel is on an extremely busy street. Much of the old part of Rome has streets that are closed to through traffic, but Via IV Novembre, right in front of the hotel, is part of a major route for traffic through the City. Its 4 lanes are full of truck, motorcycles and cars 24 hours a day. It does... More

Dear Dan S. Thank you for your long and informative email. I once again apologise for the uncomfortable night that you spent with us because you were unable to sleep properly. As I am sure you are aware in Europe in historical buildings rules and regulations about materials are very different from the United States. As our hotel, Torre Colonna,... More

We stayed here for one night... two rooms as our teenagers had their own. Historic tower central and close walking distance to Romes major attractions. The rooftop is lovely for views and breakfast... speaking of, great breakfast and service. We arrived in Rome a day early and the hotel we booked didn't have room for us so we stayed here... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
