All the really positive previous reviews are thoroughly endorsed. We could not have been happier in this extremely centrally located boutique hotel. Alvin and Igor are absolutely the genuine perfect hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble. Breakfasts superb and we slept extremely soundly in the yellow room on 2nd floor. Great restaurant (Lanterne) with easy walking distance. Cannot... More

We needed lodging for one more final night in Rome before returning home and found this place at the last minute. It ended up being the best we have stayed in. Unique small tower features a room on each floor and a terrace at the top of the tower with views of ancient Rome. Alvin at the front door was... More

The hotel was everything we wanted and more , the location is superb , we walked everywhere (including St Peters square). Sarah made us feel so welcome from the minute we arrived , we were in room 3 , spotlessly clean , big bathroom with shower over a spa bath , bed extremely comfortable and hardly any noise , slept... This Hotel was recommended to us but we were not sure how close we were to ‘the sights’. No need to worry – the Hotel is at the epicentre of everything. Within a very short amble of 5 minutes we were at the Colosseum and Roman Forum and in the opposite direction the Spanish Steps area. It is also not... More

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights at this Hotel- excellent location. It is basically one room per floor- rooms are not huge but we managed fine. There was the booking office across the road which we used to book the hop on hop bus- we booked it for 2 days- the best way to get your bearings- first... More

This little boutique hotel was everything I could ask for and more - the location was perfect (walking distance to Plaza Venezzia, Fontana de Trevi, the Colosseum), the staff and the owner treated you like an old childhood friend / family (Igor, Marvin, and Sarah were absolute sweethearts thorughout our stay), and...the actual building: built in the 1240s - there... We arrived in Rome for a three day break and I chose this hotel mainly for the location - and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is within walking distance of Roma Termini station, and all of the major landmarks and points of interest (Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Vatican etc). Despite the central location, the room was very quiet at night... More

I came with my family to Rome. I was in Rome for only four days, so I wasn't expecting the nicest hotel. Torre Colonna blew me away. The service was great, every time I went out my bed would be made up very nicely. Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00, so I had time to sleep in but still... More

Well what can I say!?.. Everything at the Residenza Torre Colonna was perfect, it far exceeded our expectations! A fab weekend in Rome which was made all the better for staying here! A real gem of a hotel. I wouldn't think twice about staying here again. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped inside, it was... More

I booked the Torre Colonna as part of a special birthday weekend away for my partner. From before our visit right till the moment we left the service given was superb. Sarah owns and runs a gem of a guest house right in the centre of Rome, a few minutes walk to the Coliseum, 15 minutes walk to the Trevi... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
