Spent 4 nights in the Residenza Torre Colonna with my partner at the end of February and enjoyed a level of help and service that I thought was lost in this world. Right from the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome and valued as guests. We were met by Sarah with an informative welcome... More

The novelty of staying in a 13th-century tower with 21st-centure amenities is alone worth the stay. We stayed here for three nights in late December and enjoyed every minute of it. Each room is on its own floor. The room itself was comfortable - the bed was excellent and the bathroom was spacious. With the windows and bathroom door shut,... More

We were travelling on a tour to see relatives back in the UK and then travelled from Paris to Rome. The Minister Of Finance had booked accommodation. Having been suitably fleeced by the taxi driver, ( please book transfer with your hotel before arriving), we arrived at a Tower. The floors are apartments, small-ish granted but...... free wi fi/ desktop... More

This is a hidden gem: a luxury hotel at bed & breakfast prices which is privately owned and run by a charming family! Centrally placed, within walking distance of main tourist attractions, it amounts to a medieval tower which has been converted into five spaceous bedrooms en suite (one bedroom per floor),all tastefully furnished with individual features, and comfortable bathrooms.... We were looking for somewhere central to stay with little Miss Boomeranghead for a half term trip to Rome and stumbled across Torre Colonna. Very glad we did - superb location, within walking distance of all major sights and bus stop for the Vatican is literally just round the corner. Torre itself is an amazing building - funky juxtaposition of... More

We only stayed one night at the Torre Colonna (all we could afford at the time!) but for us it was definitely worth the price tag. With only five rooms and in such a historic building it is a truly unique place to stay. The bedroom itself is perfect for a memorable, romantic break. The room is a nice size... More

We spent four nights at the Torre Colonna in late November and it was a fabulous stay! We enthusiastically agree with all of the five-star reviews here. We stayed in the Yellow Room, on the second floor. The bathroom was spacious and comfortable, with a jacuzzi tub/shower (plenty of hot water, great water pressure); the room had a small walk-in... Great location near to Trevi, Via Imperiali, Trajan markets and more. Great design and attention to detail make this place a delight to stay in. Loved the rooftop hot tub and views, tasty breakfast and good sized rooms (for Rome). I will be back.

We were celebrating our anniversary during our last days in Rome in early October after spending three weeks mainly in Tuscany. Not the easiest place to find, small side street, no signs but only a small decal of Trip Advisor in the window. What a great surprise to find warm welcoming people whose main objective is to make your stay... More

We definitely agree with the recent reviews of Torre Colonna in Rome. From the booking process to the entire 4 night stay, everything was spot on. The rooms are a good size, with a separate room for clothes (if, like us, you tend to have everything everywhere, this is fantastic for keeping stuff out of sight!). The hotel is perfectly... More
