This little boutique hotel was everything I could ask for and more - the location was perfect (walking distance to Plaza Venezzia, Fontana de Trevi, the Colosseum), the staff and the owner treated you like an old childhood friend / family (Igor, Marvin, and Sarah were absolute sweethearts thorughout our stay), and...the actual building: built in the 1240s - there... We arrived in Rome for a three day break and I chose this hotel mainly for the location - and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is within walking distance of Roma Termini station, and all of the major landmarks and points of interest (Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Vatican etc). Despite the central location, the room was very quiet at night... More

I came with my family to Rome. I was in Rome for only four days, so I wasn't expecting the nicest hotel. Torre Colonna blew me away. The service was great, every time I went out my bed would be made up very nicely. Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00, so I had time to sleep in but still... More

Well what can I say!?.. Everything at the Residenza Torre Colonna was perfect, it far exceeded our expectations! A fab weekend in Rome which was made all the better for staying here! A real gem of a hotel. I wouldn't think twice about staying here again. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped inside, it was... More

I booked the Torre Colonna as part of a special birthday weekend away for my partner. From before our visit right till the moment we left the service given was superb. Sarah owns and runs a gem of a guest house right in the centre of Rome, a few minutes walk to the Coliseum, 15 minutes walk to the Trevi... More

An incredible long weekend in Rome was made incredible by this fantastic hotel. Quirky medieval tower in central location, a short walk from all the major sights. I travel a lot and have never had a warmer welcome. A 6 star recommendation from this well travelled chap.

Have just returned from a 3night break . I must highly recommend the Torre Colonna. It is without doubt situated in the best possible location . Within easy walking distance to the Coliseum , Trevi Fountain , The Panthenon and the Spanish Steps . The room was very comfortable with both Tea and Coffee making facilities . Fitted bathroom en... This is a late, but well deserved review. My family traveled to Italy for my cousin's wedding in Rome. She was able to secure 4 of the rooms for 4 of our families. We stayed there for a week. No words or photos can really describe the top-notch service and accommodations that you will receive at this bed and breakfast.... More

Spent three nights in the two bedroom "suite". The hotel is very small, having four rooms, one per floor in this converted tower. Breakfast to get you going for the day is served on the fifth floor and there is a nice view from the sixth floor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location, just a few steps from the... More

My husband and I spent 5 nights earlier this month in this quirky little hotel: a mediaeval tower ingeniously converted into a 6-bedroom mini hotel, perfectly located for walking to all the main sights of Rome and to good restaurants. Owned by an English woman and run by a Philipino called Alvin and Ukranian called Igor, we could have asked... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
