I am not a hotel snob. For me - when travelling - a hotel is a place to sleep and shower when not out sightseeing and having fun. I had a single room for 8 nights. This hotel is very clean. Even though the hotel is in a seedy neighborhood (near Termini - Rome's main train station) the hotel is... More

A terrible place to stay. A too noisy room, impossible to sleep. Too dirty bathroom with lack of clean air (they were using "toilet" spray in order to make the atmosphere fresh. Prostitution and dealers under the hotel. Police came also in order to investigate a crime (a woman already crying making complaints in the reception). We ended up paying... More

We booked this is as we were arriving very late at night into Rome airport, checked in at about 1am and the desk was manned and they were waiting with our key to let us in, it is under 2 minutes walk to Termini station and the bus stop is even less so it was perfect for what we needed... More

The hotel is close to the Termini station which is a good thing (you have a metro in a minute from the hotel), but it is located in Gioberty street which is very loud at night. I didn't feel safe at night in that street. Also, the cleaning lady moved our things (she moved them around and even put some... More

This is a little hotel on the second floor of a nondescript building just steps from Termini. It is not in any way luxurious, but has all one needs - a small room, shower, bed, wifi, friendly staff. There's lots of activity, so even late at night things are lit up and people are around; I never felt unsafe. Very... More

this hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the main station Roma Termini. As we only wanted somewhere to sleep, the room was veryadequate, the bed confortable and clean with a small bathroom. The staff was very helpful and took time to give us advice everyday on the best transport to our chosen location. It is... More

Just returned from four days in Rome.Would not recommend this hotel. The entrance is awful. Hotel not particularly clean. Hair in shower. Long hair stuck on bathroom door for the whole time we were there. Net curtains were filthy. One particular member of staff had a couldn't care less attitude. Our fifth visit to Rome and worst hotel yet

So this year I decided to go to Italy before going to Jerusalem my best city. Rome is romantic even if the hotel is not the best. Staff in the hotel are amazing they went out of there way to try and explain about this amazing city. The rooms are clean and the breakfast ok, yes just ok. It is... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
