PROS: - Great location; close to Colosseum, metro and the train station - Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom - Helpful staff - Clean and safe CONS: - Breakfast is very poor. Considering this is Bed and Breakfast, they leave you packaged pastries in the room and you have to wait till morning to eat dry food. - The only toiletries we... More

I booked the mecenate rooms for a break with my husband and mum. We had 2 rooms. Pros. Location is great. It has air conditioning. Both our rooms had baths although mine due to the paint used on it never looked quite clean and felt scratchy. I am sure it was clean though,it was the surface. Loads of hot water.... More

Mercenate rooms were the first stop in a whirlwind trip through western Europe. What a wonderful introduction! Marta was a wonderful host, friendly, warm and full of information. The rooms were nicely decorated and roomy for 2. The twin sized bed was comfy. The tub was deep and a delightful place to soak after a long day of site seeing.... More

I stayed in Mecenate rooms from 14-Nov - 17 Nov-13, following were the things which i liked about this place 1) Location is awesome, very near to Colosseum, Roma Termini, Vittorio Emanuele Metro stations are nearby, place is very well connected. 2) Rooms are spacious well lit, well ventilated... the best part is the medieval touch given to the ceiling... I stayed here with my partner on the 24th October for 4 nights and the BnB was located perfectly for sightseeing. We walked everywhere with ease to all major tourist sites, only time we used transport was to/from airport. Literally 2 mins walk to Colloseum from bnb and all other sites are within a 45min walk. The room we stayed in... More

Me and my partner stayed in the mecenate rooms at the beginning if October for a short 3 night stay. We walked to the accommodation from the termini station which was approximately a 15 minute walk away. It was hard to find from the outside street, but we asked a passer by who pointed us to the correct building. We... More

Mecenate Rooms gets 5 stars for 3 reasons: the location, the price and the hostess. It's about a 2 minute walk from the Colosseum and to get there you walk through a pretty little park. As other reviewers have mentioned, MR is small; just 4 rooms on the first floor of an apartment building, but the rooms themselves are a... More

We only stayed one night in Rome, but after meeting Marta and seeing the room we wished we could have stayed longer. Marta was very helpful and ensured we were taken care of. There was plenty to eat and drink as she had pastries, yogurts, fruits, juice, coffee and tea available. We will definitely be staying at Mecenate Rooms if... More
