We have been here for 3 nights and the service was good. It is within walking distance to main central Rome attractions. It actually exceeded the money paid. The owner and Veronica were friendly and provided valuable tips for us, including places to eat, best routes for sight seeing etc. The room (with private bathroom) was small, but comfortable and... Conveniently located within walking distance of the colosseum etc. Ten minutes walk from the train and bus station. Room was compact but had a large, comfortable bed. Room and bathroom were clean and well presented. Proprietor was very helpful and supplied us with maps of Rome and told us to text or ring him if we needed anything. If anything... More

I stayed at Meraviglia for 4 nights. Riccardo was very friendly and helpful. When I arrived I was given a map and Riccardo went through all the things I wanted to do, with both walking routes and public transport highlighted. He gave some excellent advice on places to eat and how to avoid queues at the attractions. The location is... More

Such friendly staff, Riccardo helped us out with lots of local knowledge about the city and gave us a great recommendation of a place to eat!!! The room was lovely, clean and well priced. Absolutely would recommend Meraviglia.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Meraviglia. I've stayed in a few different hotels in Rome before, and this was by far the best value for money. The location is fantastic - it's only one metro stop from Termini station - or a 10 minute walk, and it's so close to reach central Rome by foot and metro. The... More

I stayed at the Meraviglia guesthouse for a few days recently. As I was renovating my apartment I was looking for a cheap accomodation to stay in while the builders were at work. I found it at the Meraviglia: this guesthouse is on the first floor of a building facing Piazza Vittorio Emanuele (10 minutes walk away from Termini Central... More

We just stayed two nights at the Meraviglia. If you're looking for just a place to use as a base it's perfect. Our room was en suite and basic but that's all we needed. The price suited and we were very happy. The A line metro is a minute walk up the street and Terminus Station for trains, metro and... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
