La Papessa was the perfect place to stay for our time in Rome. It is in the perfect location close to everything. We felt right at home there and loved the cozy rooms with beautiful antiques, high ceilings and beams that were hand painted. Breakfast was very good and the owner is very helpful with tickets and directions. I would... More

Great small hotel in the heart of Rome, we really enjoyed our stay here! As in many small hotels in Rome, there are no big signs on the street telling where the hotel is actually located, so you just have to rely on the address telling you to the right door. Or if you use the transportation service they offer... More

We got in Rome thinking we will be walking lots to visit all the sights, we were wrong, we walk from the termini to the hotel, no close but easy walk.. when we arrived Marcela explained to us everything on the map, wow we were very close to everything, happy tourists :) Marcela gave us awesome tips for all the... Top Location in a very affordable price!!! Its close to everything, easy walking to Colosseum, Bocca de la Verita, Piazza di Spagna, Trastevere... We only used the bus to get to Vatican museum and Villa Borghese. Caterina help us with everything we asked and suggested a visit to a bio market close by, which was the best place to buy... More

La Papessa Pros: Location - near the Trevi Fountain and Altare della Patria (which can be visually located from many places throughout Rome) on Via Del Corso which a very busy and affordable shopping area. I can't say enough about the location. It was perfect for us. Hospitality - top notch. Personal attention in the morning during the free breakfast.... More

What a great find (helped by you folks here on TripAdvisor!). Right on Via del Corso minutes from the Pantheon and other major attractions you couldn't find a better place to stay with a friendlier staff. The room we had, "Papa," was HUGE, but I think all four of the rooms are similar in size and style from what I... More

Outstanding location. Also: Very nice room and bathroom, very good breakfast, wonderful staff. In spite that the room faced a main street - no noise. Even when we oppened the window noise did not disturb us. The only drawback: the elevator stops in the middle between two floors, so you have to go half a floor up or down.

We stayed at La Papessa for a short break to The Eternal City. Firstly, the communication was first class, we were delayed by our flight and even though our arrival was late at night, this wasn't an issue. Secondly the location is fantastic, 5 mins walk from the Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon and The Memorial Emmanuelle Vittorio. The beauty of... More

Here you can feel all the warm side of the Eternal City. Its main characteristic is that you can breathe history either in a comfortable place where you can relax in a well located zone of the city but quite enough to let you fall asleep after long walks. Monuments, services and zone of interest are all around. Another good... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
