My husband and I traveled from Kentucky to Rome, and spent 4 nights at La Papessa. Caterina's guest house is perfectly located for access to all of the sights - Pantheon, Trevi, Coloseum and Forum, and right on the bus line. Caterina is a kind and serene woman, who was generous with her time as we completed check-in. She ensured... More

This B&B is perfected located close to all the main attractions. Marcella is a perfect host helping us with tips and other information. Yes, the shower is very small, but is not a deal breaker, very good breakfast. The busses to other areas are right in front of the hotel.

This place is adorable. Marcella is a wonderful hostess and was great at giving us suggestions. We booked a tour at the vatican and she suggested a taxi the day we were to go instead of the bus, as there was a strike and buses were not running as usual. Thank goodness as we would have been late. The location... More

Lovely B and B in an excellent location. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, breakfast very nice and varied. My husband and I had it recommended by a friend and we would definitely recommend again! Would also recommend the driver pick up from the airport.

We arranged through the B & B to send a driver for us at FCO. The driver was great! Marcella was a warm and helpful hostess and a wealth of information for the area. She recommended a wonderful small very local restaurant, La Sagrestia, close by and also suggested to go over to the Tevere which we had no idea... More

Stayed June 2-6. Great time, staff were very accommodating. Great introduction when we arrived telling us how to get to everything. A bus schedule would be helpful. Room was comfortable, air conditioner worked great, we had 4 in the room, which was tight with luggage, but we made do. Breakfast was good, they even made up a breakfast tray for... More

La Papessa is in the heart of Rome, in a very convenient location. My boyfriend and I struggled to find the building and the entrance though; it is not easy to find. Once we got there, we found the door locked and no one there to help us, but we later figured out that they had been trying to contact... More

The rooms were basic but adequate. It is the location that can't be beat. Walk easily to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Marcela is so nice, friendly and helpful. This is a B&B so there is no one there from the afternoon until the following morning but they are just a phone... More

.Before I begin my review I want to mention that I have never stayed at a B & B and was rather curious and anxious. We arrived at La Papessa which was centrally located and was greeted by the owner. She was not only the innkeeper but a great concierge. She showed us the room with 5 star luxury and... More

The location is fabulous. Right on the Via Del Corso, within easy walking distance of major attractions. Marcela is very nice and she can help you with getting around the city and finding decent places to eat.

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
