Modern well located in Trastevere. She insisted on turning off the A/C at midnight. Insisted on charging a 4% premium for credit card usage on checkout without any warning ahead of time or on web site. My single room had no window or external door. Other rooms looked ok. It's on the 2nd (American 3rd) floor and no lift. more

The owner wanted to charge us the comission of the bank for paying by Visa. She advised us late, so we couldn't carry the money from our country. When we refused that, she cancelled the transaction of our Credit card and forced us to go to de cashier machine and get a 20 euros charge, that she woudn't accept to... more

Only had one night at this B&B but would have loved more. The room was superbly decorated and the modern bathroom lovely. Catarina was very welcoming but as there was nothing on the front door to indicate the B&B was there, it was somewhat confusing. Fortunately other guests came out of the door as we were pondering and reassured us... more

Trastevere Relais is a good place for spending a couple of days in Rome. It's centrally located and easily reached by taking the train from Fuminico Airport. Barbara & Catherina are very friendly hosts and make terrific cappucino. The rooms are brand-new (flat-screen tv, wellness shower) and look nice. What we especially liked is that it's a small place. You... more

We had a great stay at Trastevere Relais. The room was clean and comfortable and we loved the stylish decor. One of my favorite touches was coming home late at night after walking all over Rome and finding rose petals sprinkled on the floor near our room and tall candles lighting the way to our door. It was these types... more

I stayed at the Trastevere Relais with two colleagues as part of a business trip that included Rome and Milan. The furnishings here are glamorous and modern--expertly chosen by an artistic eye. The staff is more than friendly and very helpful, and they will arrange transport to/from the airport and to other Roman locations if you ask. The location is... more

A charming B&B in the heart of the beautiful Trastevere district of Rome. Caterina and Barbara are perfect hosts -- generous with advice, welcoming but unobtrusive. Low-key atmosphere and laissez-faire attitude should not be mistaken for lack of interest or brusqueness. Rather, they will go the extra mile for you -- I saw them help guests arrange Vespa rentals and... more

I have stayed in many B&Bs in Europe, but the Trastevere Relais was the least satisfactory. On the plus side, our room was very clean and the breakfast was fine. On the negative side, we were put in a very plain, hot apartment across the street from the main B&B, even though we had reservations, which at first they couldn't... more

Sparkling clean premises, comfortable bed, adequate breakfast, gift of bottle of wine to makeup for mistake in our reservation (we had to take a small apartment across the street instead of a room in the main B&B.). Overworked assistant manager Barbara later very kindly mailed a small item which we had left behind in an early morning departure. more

We were looking for a clean, quiet spot to stay in Trastevere, away from the big hotels and touristy areas. Trastevere Relais seemed to fit the bill, with the one review saying it was quiet. I even asked for a picture of our room to verify we had secured a queen size bed for the three nights we'd be there... more
