We have been there for a week, and really appreciated our stay: the staff is really kind and helpful, the rooms are quite new and confortable, the area is very quiet, and it is close to bus and subway stops, which makes it very easy to visit the city. The only default was that the wifi signal was not accessible... More

Good location, good transportation options, very nice facility, clean and well serviced. I did not give 5 stars only due to condition of the building itself, but there is little or nothing owners of Deseo could do about it. WiFi coverage in the room was poor, but very good in common areas.

The name says it all - with the door keys in your hand you feel like home. Especially if you are sick of the hastle of hotel lobbies, waiting for elevators and walking down long hallways to your hotel room. And if you like modern interiour design better than the classical Italian style - perfect. Deseo Home has got the... More

First don't be fooled by the name, this is an excellent Hotel in the very heart of Rome, across the road from the monstrosity they call the British Embassy (you will know what I mean when you see it !! ) .From the moment you arrive the managers make you feel so welcome, the rooms are well decorated and spotlessly clean, breakfast... We stayed at Deseo Home last week for our 3 night stay in Rome. We were greeted by really friendly managers who were more than happy to give us local information and a map of where to go for the week. The room was great, just what we needed - very clean and modern. Breakfast did the job - it... More

Fine bed, good breakfast and friendly staff! Good location from which the city centre can be reached by foot. Around the corner are metro stations. We also liked restaurant Disco Volante in the neighbourhood, visited by italians not so much by tourists.

We came to Rome by train and looked for a hotel near railway station as the plan was to take Leonardo express to the airport on the next day. Unfortunately it took us 20 min instead of promised 10 min on foot from Termina: we followed the navigator in iphone, maybe if you ask the owner in advance, you can... More

We booked a triple room for a long weekend in Rome. Location is ok but not very central as it seems, you need to walk 10 minutes to get to the closest metro, 15 to Termini. The "home" is in a building and split in 2 apartments over two floors. The finishes and decorations are well done and modern, it... More

We stayed on Nov 26th for one night. The staff was very friendly and their service was really personal. We had a beautiful room looking at the backyard. The room and the bathroom were very comfortable and very clean. It was quiet enough. The breakfast which was included in the price, was very nice with enough things to keep you... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
