We stayed for a long weekend in the rooftop suite and the stay surpassed my expectations. The room was lovely and, though not huge, was quite quirky in its layout, which made it a wonderful romantic retreat from the busy streets below. You're in the rafters, so there's no view to speak of, but then the rest of Rome provides... More

I had an amasing weekend with my mother in Rome and we really enjoyed the Hotel Mario di Fiori! We arrived and had been a little confused by the "normal" entrance, but the first floor and the rooms are made with love and are super cute!!! Big thanks to Giuseppe helping us with the TV :)) We will come back... More

The rooms are very stylish and lovely. The location is outstanding and we were able to see all the sights within easy walking distance. The little booklet provided by the owner is outstanding and a really lovely touch. We went to a couple of the restaurants recommended in the booklet and they proved to be fantastic. My only concerns are... More

Dear Guest, My thanks for writing a review about your stay at Mario de' Fiori, 37. I'm happy you enjoyed the stylish rooms, central location and attentive staff. I want to personally apologize for the inconveniences you experienced with your room. We have had an unusual Spring in Rome - very wet, with periods of heat. It's unfortunate some errant... More

Just returned from a short trip to Rome and this hotel was a big part of why the trip was a wonderful experience. The location was excellent - we could walk to all the major attractions we wanted to see and the immediate area was full of interesting shops and restaurants in addition to Villa Borghese park. The room was... More

we stayed here for three nights in December 2014, the location is outstanding with really lovely bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood and spectacular shopping in every direction. The staff were really fabulous helping us to book entrance to the tourist sites we wanted to see and making recommendations for dinner, in particular the recommendation for the chocolate shop around... We've just returned from a three night stay at the hotel and can't praise it enough. For a very reasonable cost, you are at the heart of chic Rome. The Spanish Steps and designer shops are on your doorstep. The area is fantastic for great bars and restaurants that won't break the bank but are great quality. This is not... More

Great location in the heart of the city. The staff were courteous and helpful. Specially Giuseppe ,who helped me with all my heavy bags @ 5 AM with a big smile , made my stay at the hotel seemingly effortless. Spacious and well equipped bathroom and the quite room also was a big plus. I would recommend it to anyone.

I booked this hotel on the basis that it appears on Mr and Mrs Smith and I wasn't disappointed. The trip to Rome was a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday; the rooms and hotel were spotless, bathrooms luxuriously apointed and generally fabulous. The hotel is located about 20 steps from the Spanish Steps and all of the main attractions are... More

The staff were incredibly helpful and polite - great recommendations for dinner reservations. The room was immaculate, we were in the roof terrace apartment (top floor) which was absolutely gorgeous. Spacious bath and bathroom, huge comfy bed, a free Nespresso maker (a revelation) and although the ceilings were understandably 'cosy', there was plenty of room for unpacking so it didn't... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
