I have visited this B&B twice, once in November and then again in March. First we were in the main building, the second time in another building in Via Celimontana. Both rooms were perfectly clean, warm and had everything we needed for our stay. The host and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect -... More

My boyfriend and I only stayed here for 2 nights while we were in Rome. The location was great- we could see the Colosseum when we looked out our window. The B&B was a little confusing when we got there because the door was locked. Luckily the gentleman who was working at the restaurant right next door called the owner... More

5 minute walk from the metro station, and even closer to the colosseum :) perfect location with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants close by. there is even a small supermarket on the same road. good size rooms and the wifi is great. our twin room had a private balcony which was a lovely touch, the view was amazing! :)

The best place for any kind of visit in Rome! Fabrizio the owner is great, helpful, the rooms are clean, comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, cakes are made in their own restaurant. WiFi the best I have ever used in Europe, so fast and easy to get online. the location is near to the metro, station Colosseo

This is a average B&B and not too expensive and you pay for what you get. We can not complain as we had a single room with everything we needed. On arrival there was a bit of a hold up to wait for some one to arrive to assist us. The only real complain might be that the breakfast starts... More

Absolutely loved this b&b. I would highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone wanting a nice friendly base to explore Rome from. We arrived in Rome in the afternoon and got to the Colloseo area via metro. I printed a map before we set off and the hotel was very easy to find (it was clearly marked on a small... More

Clean and straightforward place. We had a double room (twin beds) with a balcony looking at part of the coloseum. Also had a massive but shared bathroom on the other side of the corridor. Everything was clean. Breakfast is box standard cereal and bread, cheese a d ham and croissants. It's basically a big flat and each room is a... More

We also had difficulty checking in. Arrived at prearranged time in prearranged location. No one was there to help us. After a phone call where the woman answering the phone stated we did not have a reservation (I had checked, double checked, and re confirmed the time and location due to previous complaints on trip advisor) was left standing in... We were concerned when no-one came to meet us as was arranged, outside Via Celimontana, but we called Tiziana's mobile and she said that the housekeeper would be along to let us in. We actually stayed in Fabrizio and Tiziana's new property, the Via Celimontana apartments. We had said that if possible we would have preferred the Santi Quattro apartments... More

We knew going in that the owner is not on property all the time. So we emailed that our train was coming in at 5:10 and then we would take a metro. He said that would be fine but to call him when we got there. I emailed back that we would not have a phone with us. I never... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
