Our tour group of 40 US citizens stayed here all week. The hotel is a former monastery so it is quiet and secluded. However you can walk down the driveway and be easily accessible to the Vatican and Rome by foot or public transit right at the doorOur rooms were adequate and spacious . It is single beds not too... I recently returned from a trip to Rome and a stay at the Casa Bonus Pastor. It was a fantastic experience! The staff were amazing ... friendly and very accommodating. I appreciated the family like atmosphere. For meals you could have as much privacy as you wished ... or interact with the other guests with a multi-cultural perspective. I would... More

Casa Bonus Pastor is an outstanding option for lodging in Rome close to the Vatican. This "guesthouse" features dormitory style rooms with private baths. Many rooms feature a view of the Vatican City Walls. Rooms have terrazzo floors and single beds. The hotel is located owned and operated by the Vatican and many groups of pilgrims choose this hotel for... More

We stayed at Casa per Ferie S.Emilia de Vialar across the road from Casa Bonus Pastor but ate at Bonus Pastor most nights. There is a set three-course meal which is different each evening accompanied by an unlimited supply of the house wine. We loved the food. We loved the atmosphere. So we'd recommend Bonus Pastor restaurant to anyone looking... More

Our group of 4 enjoyed our stay at Casa Bonus Pastor. The rooms are basic yet comfortable and immaculately clean. The beds left a bit to be desired, being hard and sloping toward the middle. Yet we felt very comfortable here and enjoyed the interesting ambiance this seminary turned hotel. The front desk could not have been more efficient and... More

A former seminary, now serving as a hotel for half of its premises and a high-school for the other half, this property belongs to the Vatican. Though all-male non-religious staff (except for one female cleaning person -a nun- I saw) and transformation of the premises into a hotel, one still gets the feel of staying in a college or boys... We were with a Catholic Pilgrimage tour, and this hotel was perfect. Good food, convenient to bus lines to enjoy Roma at night, and a convenient little bar on the first floor to unwind after a long day. Rooms were sparse - we had three twin beds that were relatively firm. Convenient to Vatican, but local dining is sparse, but... More

I've been here twice and have been most impressed both times. Belongs to The Vatican and you can walk to San Pietro in ten minutes. The is similar in idea to the Colegio Majors in Spain; religious (Roman Catholic) in foundation but this is a very large place, spotlessly clean, large rooms and free wireless Internet. The older well dressed... More

We wanted to concentrate on Vatican for two days after a 10-day cruise from Rome/Civitavecchia. This hotel provided the best over all value for us. The place has that simplistic but solid feel to it due to the conversion from a convent. It is CLEAN and roomy (Roman standard). We only had one breakfast there. It's not much to write... More

If you are looking for a pilgrimage experience and don't mind a 15-minute walk to St. Peter's, this is the place to stay. Prices are very good for Rome. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Always free wi-fi. Rooms are super clean; but, like everywhere else, showers may be small. Bus stops right out front, if you aren't inclined to... More
