I want to say that they location of this hotel is wonderful, in the centre of Rome in a quite street, with it's own courtyard. So why did I rate it average? Because, I have stayed at Babuino 181, and loved it so much that I was disappointed with Margutta. We had a suite with the biggest bathroom that I... More

Very central location in a peaceful courtyard just off a street with some nice craft shops. Accommodation was perfect and Giuseppe was very helpful in recommending some great local places to eat. Excellent breakfasts too.

True to what the office manager Martina said, the hotel was within walking distance to most attractions except for the Vatican City or Colloseum. It was in a compound where Pablo Picasso's studio once was. The suite was very clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet, although offered in separate nearby venue (sister hotel), had a fairly... More

Just came back from a fantastic stay in Rome. A wonderful city and Margutta 54 was the perfect place to stay. It's a great location not far from Piazza del Popolo but nice and quiet. Rooms are fantastic and staff were excellent expecially Giuseppe who was there to help me at 1 in the morning after a delayed flight.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay a the Margutta and could not have been happier! We are a family of 4, with 2 young boys. We booked rooms 3 & 4 as you could turn them into a 2 bed apartment in effect buy using an extra door to create a hallway with the 2 rooms coming... More

My husband and I and our two teenage daughters stayed at Margutta 54 from December 27-December 30th and absolutely loved it! Loved the location off a cobble stone street that led into a beautiful courtyard. Only a few steps away from the Spanish Steps! Loved breakfast each morning at the sister hotel a couple blocks away. Room was spacious and... More

Third visit and it will be our last. 250euros a night and no turn down service, no fresh milk for tea or coffee, mould in the shower cubicle, very, very thin toilet paper and cheap slippers. And you can hear the Rome Metro vibrate its way underneath the building. TV didn't work properly and the heating inadequate for January! These... More

We were so pleased with this hidden gem on our honeymoon to Rome. Margutta 54 is nestled behind a cobble hilled street that is lined with boutiques, restaurants, and artist studios. The apartment was decorated modern/rustic, had some nice art books, and always smelt like delicious candles. The owner wrote up recommendations of his favorite restaurants. The location is perfect.... More

Margutta 54 was absolutely wonderful. The room was great, the staff was lovely, breakfast at the sister hotel a few short blocks away was a great way to start each day. Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
