On the ultra trendy eclectic Via Margutta, these suites are well appointed and the service is personal, efficient and impeccable. Very impressed! So close to everything, yet very quiet and peaceful. Quite a lovely hideaway, and the best surprise is how spacious the suites are!

Just came back from this beautiful hotel.... Can't say enough of it! It's spacious, clean an modern; and best of all is located perfectly! Service was impeccable! Will definitely come back!! We were there with our 2 kids. Our room was huge! Doesn't feel like a hotel because it's kind of inside an Italian house...

Tucked away from the maddening crowds and traffic is Margutta 54. This is a luxury 7 unit studio suites housed in an old building, just a stones throw from the Spanish Steps. Via Margutta has always been an artist street and remains so with a bunch of art and antique shops still plying their trade. Margutta 54 is housed in... More

This hotel is a little hard to find tucked off a back street between Piazza del Popolo and Spanish Steps. But it is totally worth finding it. Great location with very friendly staff. The surprise is when you get to your room - they are a terrific size and very well equipped. Bed was super comfortable and the room was... More

Tucked away in a courtyard off a quiet road, but only a few minutes walk from the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo, this was a perfect location. We had a 'basic' studio which was just lovely, don't know what more we could have wanted. Staff were friendly, helpful and all spoke good English. The owner has written a 'guide'... More

Notwithstanding the fact that one is spoilt for choice when it comes to finding a hotel in Rome, we kept looking for the place that will be peaceful, modern and stylish at the same time and we have finally found Margutta 54. The hotel is tucked in a quiet courtyard off Via Margutta, a quaint little street in between Piazza... More

This is a small luxury hotel in a chain of 3, all centrally located in Rome. Staff is very accommodating and friendly, and they speak English. The rooms are very large, and well equipped with coffee, tea, mini fridge and toaster oven. It's located in a gated courtyard that is safe and quiet. Lots of shopping and restaurants are located... We are longstanding customers of Babuino 181, Mario de Fiori and Margutta 54. Just wanted to say that these are places that just get better and better. It is partly due to the wonderful staff in all of the three buildings and partly to the beautifully appointed rooms, suites and studios. On our last visit we stayed in the new... More

Only stayed one night but soooooo wanted to stay longer. Loved the spacious, modern and stylish Margutta suite. It's located in a cute charming courtyard which was a little hard to find but that's ok. It's a very short walk to the Spanish Steps and Via Condotti. While it's so close to everything, it feels a little tucked away. Staff... More

Our second stay at Marguta 54. Great location, about 50metres from all the action but delightfully quiet. The suites are all delightful in their own way, beautifully appointed in converted artist studios. Big baths and walk in showers, plenty of hanging spec and drawers, coffee machine etc etc. great little touches like the owners recommendations for nearby bars, coffe houses,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Picasso, Puccini and Stravinsky all made Via Margutta their home. Now, you, too, can draw inspiration from Margutta 54, a unique boutique hotel on Rome's most beautiful, atmospheric street, located a stone's throw from the Spanish Steps. To stay at our collection of converted artist's studios, you have to be as "in the know" as a true Roman. So step off of Via Margutta into a private courtyard-a hidden secret on the gallery-lined street. Walk through the gates into a historic palace setting. And know that here, in the shadow of Picasso's studio, you're home. At Margutta 54, rather than a hotel client, you feel like you are living as an authentic Roman. Make yourself comfortable: enjoy the peace of the private courtyard. Indulge in the exclusivity of residing in an historic artist studio. ... more   less
