I have to say we were a bit worried about staying here as we had booked one room for 4 adults but what a nice surprise! This hotel blew us away, they catered for our every need. This apartment is in a perfect location. It is near to all the main attractions, right next to the Spanish Steps, but in... More

We first stayed here 2 years ago on a break as a couple and had a wonderful time. We took the upstairs suite which is so spacious and tranquil - such a rare find in Rome. This time we returned with the two children. We took the two upstairs suites and it was a perfect family apartment. We had wonderful... More

Highly recommended for honeymooners!! Situated in a quiet side street near all the main attractions. From the outside it has traditional charm and the inside rooms are simply amazing. Our room was really nice and big with a modern feel, a huge bed and a seating/ breakfast area. The bathroom was nice too. Staff was attentive when needed and every... More

We were fortunate to stay at Margutta 54 for 4 days! Our room was spacious- great bathroom, large sitting and dining area, Nespresso coffee maker!. The hotel is quiet, clean, modern, and staff is wonderful and helpful! The location can't be beat- behind a private gate on an artsy street near the Spanish Steps. We highly recommend!

Great location and still very quiet. Atomosphere was homey. Service was attentive (Giuseppe helped us in finding and booking a nice restaurant in spite that most good restaurants in Rome were closed for summer). I will come back.

We couldn't believe how peaceful Via Margutta and its surroundings were. Margutta 54 is modern, stylish, spacious and clean. Our 6'3" son slept comfortably on the sofa bed. Silent air conditioning was a real bonus. We very much enjoyed our pre dinner drinks on the roof top terrace at sister hotel Babuino 181 particularly on the first evening when they... More

We had a two night stay at the Margutta 54 and truly enjoyed it! So quiet and relaxing, the staff was great and accomodating when we told them that we had to leave pretty early and we needed an early breakfast, they made it possible. We will definetely be back. And the location is breathtaking!

Great location, beautifull building, courtyard and sorroundings. Great rooms for bigger families, very difficult to find in europe, super diligent and friendly staff. You get more than what you pay for

On the ultra trendy eclectic Via Margutta, these suites are well appointed and the service is personal, efficient and impeccable. Very impressed! So close to everything, yet very quiet and peaceful. Quite a lovely hideaway, and the best surprise is how spacious the suites are!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Picasso, Puccini and Stravinsky all made Via Margutta their home. Now, you, too, can draw inspiration from Margutta 54, a unique boutique hotel on Rome's most beautiful, atmospheric street, located a stone's throw from the Spanish Steps. To stay at our collection of converted artist's studios, you have to be as "in the know" as a true Roman. So step off of Via Margutta into a private courtyard-a hidden secret on the gallery-lined street. Walk through the gates into a historic palace setting. And know that here, in the shadow of Picasso's studio, you're home. At Margutta 54, rather than a hotel client, you feel like you are living as an authentic Roman. Make yourself comfortable: enjoy the peace of the private courtyard. Indulge in the exclusivity of residing in an historic artist studio. ... more   less
