We stayed in the apartment Monti studio 4 nights. 1 night it was Monti loft and the rest Monti studio. Everything nice and spotless. Even when we had problem they resolved almost straight away. Close to the Colloseum and Termini station. Only two things - housekeeper Maria - really nice lady but not speak english at all and you can... More

I have just come back from a 4 night stay in the lovely Urbana 33. We stayed in room 2 which was spacious, comfortable and peaceful, despite looking directly onto the via Urbana. The owner was incredibly sweet, despite not having much English. We had a basic breakfast most mornings, which was delivered to our room and was only €3,... More

This place was wonderful ! My friend and I stayed for only 1 night and we wish we could stay longer. The owners are very sweet and helpful despite a language barrier. This place was also SPOTLESS. You receive keys for the building and can come and go as you please. Many wonderful cafés near by and the colosseum is... More

It was a bit difficult to find, yes you walk up to an unmarked building on Via Urbana and make a call on the old intercom system. Maria doesn't speak much English but if you tell her your name and that you have a reservation she will quickly check and let you in. Proceed straight when you walk in, you... More

I ended up staying in one of the apartments even as a solo traveler. Maria (the housekeeper) was wonderful to wait up late to let me in due to a delayed flight. The room is very spacious. There is no real view from my room (#1) but I do feel very safe in this "hotel" as a single traveler. Yes,... More

I'm very satisfied with my stay at Urbana 33 which had been recommended to me by a cople of friends. It is ideally located and in walking distance of Rome's main sights and train station. My room was lovely, very confortable and clean, and you can see it was quite recently redesigned. Monti area is a great neighbourhood, with many... More

My stay at Urbana 33 was wonderful from the moment we arrived. We were met by the lovely Maria who was so welcoming and acted as a personal tourist information officer for us providing us with a map and locating all the must see sights as well as necessary buses etc. The room was beautiful, modern decor with a homely... We stayed in the studio apartment in the annex- which was around 100m away from the main building (there are lots of steps involved so beware - but then again, this is Rome, so this should be no suprise!). The room was lovely- great use of space and decoration. The advantage with being away from the main building is that... More

Via Urbana is very walkable from Termini station. Finding the right doorbell at the door was not straight forward but after we found it Maria proofed to be very friendly and helpful. The actual apartment we stayed in was not at Via Urbana 33 but a 5 minutes walk. At the other side of Via Carfour in a small side... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
