This was my second stay at Il Passetto (previously in 2010), and this time I brought my wife. We stayed 5 nights, and it was just as lovely as the first time. Our room was bright and newly painted. Breakfast was personalized to our tastes. The B&B is located on the third floor, but there is an centrally-located elevator for... More

I had 4 very nice days in Rome with my mom. I found this accomodation on the internet and honestly i booked it because there was like an 80 % discount on the rooms, so i thought i should just grab this offer. I was not dissappointed at all..... The accomodation is in a 5-storey building, on the 2nd floor,... More

We ate here one our first night in Rome and it was fantastic. I speak passable Italian, but I find that as soon as most people find out you speak English, they automatically switch over. I enjoyed the fact that our waiter here humored me a bit and let me practice my Italian "skills" while still being perfectly fluent in... More

Recently returned from a 4 day trip in Rome at Il Passetto choosing this property primarily due to its location to the Vatican and also being off season at a very reasonable price. The room was spacious, cleaned to a very high standard every morning with breakfast delivered to your room between 8-10am consisting of a croissant of your choosing,... More

We stayed here in July and I have nothing but good things to say. Excellent location, close to metro and bus stops. A short walk away from St Peters Square. Typical Italian breakfast in your room every morning. I would stay again in a heartbeat :)

Excellent and quiet location, just 5 minutes from St.Peter's Square. Tram, buses, metro and supermarket all within a 5 to 7 minutes walk. Good sized room with kitchenette, sleeping 4. Room had air conditioning, good sized bath room, television and adequate storage space. Very clean. Modern decor. Very pleased with our choice and would definitely return if visiting Rome. Only... Clean big rooms and is cleaned everyday. Breakfast is delivered to your room, but few choices. Few minutes walk to St. Peter's Square. Near shopping areas, and restaurants and public transportation. Staff was accommodating.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Just next to the Vatican and St. Peter's. The room was cleaned daily and towels were changed daily. The daily continental breakfast was brought to the room at the time we decided. The staff also arranged a taxi to the airport for us. We enjoyed our stay.

Just back from a short break in Rome staying at Il Passetto. The room was spotless and beds made everyday and towels changed every second. The breakfast was continental and brought to the room bang on when requested. Very friendly and just a couple of minutes walk to St. Peter's square and Vatican. Should I return to Rome, I would... The location is the highlight of this B&B: it is very close to St. Peter, very well connected by public services (Ottaviano station of underground). Breakfast is quite poor, served on a tray in the room, sad....

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighborhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighborhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighborhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
