We stayed at Danilo's for 2 nights and left wishing we had spent more time there. Danilo is the perfect host and go's out of his way to make your stay as good as it could possibly. Hospitality is certainly his thing!👍😆

Wonderful B&B in the centre of Trastevere in Rome. The staff (Father and Son, Andrea and Danilo) are really fun, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are basic but are clean and have all the necessities, and the breakfast provided each morning is just what you need to start the day. Trastevere is a fun neighbourhood with great restaurants and cobblestone... More

Danilo ,Danilo, Danilo … where should we start: We spent 3 lovely nights at B&B Danilo during the beginning of June 2015. Perfect location and exceptional service!! Easy to get to and from the train and bus station. B&B Danillo is on the Main Street and the tram/bus stops literally at the front door. Very close to the River Tiber,... More

My wife and I visited Rome during May for the first time. We booked and stayed at Bed & Breakfast Danilo at Viale Di Trastevere 60, Rome, RM, 00153 Italy which is an ideal location for sightseeing in Rome. Trastevere is an excellent centre for restaurants catering to most needs. Further afield some thirty-five minutes walk along the River Tiber... More

Dear potential Rome travelers, I hereby save you time and money, pay attention. The room was clean, spacious and cozy, with a feeling like being home! The location is perfect, just next to the best restaurants and bars of Rome, as well as next to tram stop. Very close access to museums, must-seen historical places and sightseeing hot-spots! So all... More

First, big thanks to our host Danilo. You really made our stay with your warm hospitality, map tour and great restaurant suggestions in Trastevere. The B&B is really nice, fine room with balcony and the location is perfect with all the great sites within reach, still it's not in the crowded turist areas. When (not if...) we return to Rome... When arriving you are not sure if you are at the right place or if this is a condo and being in the back of the yard you wonder - until you get up there. It is like home away from home and we had a wonderful week there. Centered in Trastevere with the narrow streets and the terrific restaurants... More

So we stayed 4 nights and it was the best trip ever! Very welcoming, friendly, the room was really nice and we didn't have any problem. The location is also good with the tram stop just down the building or by walking (15/20min) from campo di fiori. Anyway, I recommend this address :)

Our high expectations were well exceeded by B&B Danilo.Danilo is so friendly and attentive, always doing the utmost to help his guests. We readily felt at home.Rooms are clean, bright, contemporary and stylish. The generous breakfasts, with fruit in abundance, are delicious. An old fashioned liftis helpful for transporting heavy bags and travellers weary from a day of sightseeing up to... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
