The hostel is in a great location - 5-10 mins walk from Termini station. Yes it's 2-3 flights of stairs up but it's worth it for the tranquility this place offers in a busy city. Our room was a good size with comfy beds, a good size wardrobe & 2 full length mirrors. There is a also a kettle &... More

Blue Hostel leaves you feeling anything but blue. In fact, it doesn't even feel like a hostel either. Instead you'll find a beautiful room with plenty of space. It actually felt more like a great hotel room rather than a hostel. The rustic building gives it the traditional Roma feel but the interior is very modern. Everything from the all... More

I was very excited to stay at Blue Hostel as a guest to feature on my Travel and Food Blog, www.camchowda.com Blue Hostel is truly a gem in the heart of Rome and it won't break your bank either! The Blue Hostel Roma is a clean, charming boutique hotel that gives hostel travelers a "four star experience." Despite its name,... More

Loved my stay at Blue Hostel. My room was very clean, and modern. Free wifi and bathroom in the unit. The bed was very comfortable, and the hostel is very close to everything you need in Roma, including close to Termini when you need to catch the train. I would recommend you stay here whenever you are town. The map... More

We rented the apartment as a family (2 adults, 3 kids) and were very happy to stay here for a couple of days to see Rome. The apartment was clean, nicely furnished, with kitchen for coffee, tee and the like. Very good service, very obliging staff. Can recommend definitely

Nice rooms, very quiet place to rest after a day out in the city. Beds could be a bit bigger. Location is perfect to see all the major sites. Plenty of great eateries nearby. The map provided by Alessandro was perfect for navigating around the city and had several top notch recommendations.

- Absolutely Hotel style but B&B cost. Bright and warm style deco make you feel as comfortable as staying at your own house. - Perfect location. The blue hostel is located between Termini and Vittorio Emanuele. It takes around 8 minutes from Termini to the Blue hostel. Manager Ercale and staff Alex are all really nice and helpful people. I expected a lot when I went to Blue Hostel because it looks so nice at the pictures on their homepage. And when you have hight expectations it's easy to be desappointed, but: not in Blue Hostel. It's probably the best hostel I've ever been (and I've been to a lot, belive me). It's super stylish furnished, very clean, has... More

Complete, clean, stylish and cozy room; perfect location to explore town, since it is next to Termini Station; staff (Ercole) is very kind, helpful, attentive and designed his own city-map, with specific tips on bars, restaurants, cafes, gelatto shops etc; no common areas.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
