Booked here on hotels.com. Reception is at a hot bar/coffee shop near Termini. You arrive, they call "the boss" and offer you a coffee while you wait. Asked how we were paying and when they learned credit card, there was a problem. Not possible. Some negotiations later it was possible. We walked to the Dhaly for credit card processing. Then... My friends and I arrived at this address which was just a room in a block of flats. There was no answer and after waiting for 3 hours gave up and found another hotel. I can only assume that this place is a scam as I have been charged on the card that I provided when booking. Do yourself a... More

I booked a triple room in the Hotel Dalhi situated in Via Napoleone III in Rome. The booking was for two nights starting on the 25th of September and it was made with two months in advance. When I arrived on that day to the hotel, the person in charged came out and he did not let me in the... More

I was suppose to stay here with two other friends but we didn't. It is an absolute dump and I would never stay here. The smell when you walk in the door is horrible and the smell is in the toilet. It took us nearly three hours to find it. Even a taxi driver could not find it on his... More

We had read other reviews of this hotel and knew what to expect. We had taken enough cash for room payment as some other reviewers had trouble with credit card payment at the hotel. We chose this hotel due to its proximity to roma termini. Other important thing for us was the microwave in the room, as I was travelling... More

This Hotel is just a couple of rooms in one apartment of a large residential building. So, it does not qualify to be called as a Hotel. To call this “place” as a Hotel is misleading. There was no hot water in the shower. The room service included a towel change, though not automatically every day, but only if you... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
