The B&B was amazing. Very close to the metro, perfectly clean, air-conditioned and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very nice. Near is Via Nazionalle with plenty of shops and restaurants. Undoubtedly recommended.

Had the pleasure of staying here recently. Close to the main train station which is great if you have luggage, but far enough away as to not hear trains and other noise. Quiet and safe location. Was greeted by the lovely people there and given keys to front security gate, front door and room. Lift or stairs up to second... More

Very good upkeep, comfortable beds, modern bathroom (friendly owner made a point of showing off new in-toilet bidet, but anyway) Lift available, close to Termini (3-4min walk) and a couple of nice restaurants/ gelatarias nearby. Definitely perfect for a base to explore rome and surrounding area.

Friendly owner and staff, although emails prior to arrival did not receive responses. Location and WiFi connection were both good. Ok for a couple of days, not longer. Very small room. Shower doors coming off and rusty soap wrack. Worn-out towels with stains. Breakfast insufficient for a morning of sightseeing and it's served between 8am-9am only!

B&B Alexander, was a fantastic stay, its in the perfect spot for the main train station and also for the hop on hop off busses, so perfect for us tourists! The place itself, was gorgeous, the people were so friendly.

The B&B Alexander is a short walk to the main train station in Rome. It was easy to find, had a small lift to the 2nd floor and was clean. There was no street noise, and we had comfortable beds. Our hostess spoke English and provided a simple but satisfying breakfast. The owner was very helpful as he tried to... More

We have family trip to Rome and after few days of the selection we pick up the BB Alexander. We arrived at the room in the afternoon and Mr. Barbone, great gentlemen, was waiting. Immediately, he gave us the basic instruction and keys of the main entrance door as well as room. Room was clean and comfortable with nice bathroom.... More

While traveling with my girlfriend, we are always looking for places that fit at least three of the following four criteria: 1) safe area (top priority), 2) reasonably priced, 3) clean & cozy, 4) good location. Luckily, B&B Alexander fit all four! PROS: - Very clean & cozy (beautifully remodeled) - Great location - 5-10 minute walk away from Terimini... More

Stayed there for a night... Requested for early check in @ 6am and they were expecting us.. Small and cosy room.... Shower area is very small and if you are about 1.75cm and above, you may have some difficulties using the shower area...

As girls traveling alone, my sister & I wanted a B&B experience, for economic, safety, friendly more personal service, & accessibility reasons. This place provided it all to an excellent degree. The room was spacious & comfortable (Tulipano room) with a balcony that opened to the rear and allowed us to let the morning air and sunshine in. It felt... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
