The place is close to Termini station where there are buses and trains to and from the Airports and buses to various places in Rome and metro as well, but still fine to walk everywhere by foot if you like walking:) We were met by Alexander, who waited for us for hour and a half, since our flight was delayed,... We recently spent a night at B&B Alexander. We arrived at 10:30am, after a early start and long train journey and the owner was kind enough to let us have the room early, we were so grateful to be able to go back to bed for a few hours before starting sightseeing! The owner was really friendly and accomodating, the... More

Very close to the train station and metro, very friendly staff. Our flight leaving Rome was very early and we were able to check out the day before and they even left breakfast in out fridge so we were able to take something with us.

Helpful staffs and a feeling of home. The place is neat and comfortable with stable free Wi-Fi. The restroom is big. The breakfast is amazing. P.S. I lost my charger here and emailed the host, she quickly replied me and asked me to go take it back! so warm and helpful indeed!

The owner is very helpful and speaks English. The accommodation is good but the area is quite noisy. Restaurant underneath the accommodation is lovely and handy. However think there was something wrong with the drains in the bathroom as there was an odour which I am sure could be fixed and it would then be a fabulous place to stay

After being in hostels on our backpacking trip, we decided to book here to treat ourselves a little whilst in Rome. It worked out to be similar in price but extremely nice! It's not the easiest to locate when looking down streets. Close to station, go down the street marked in address, but then look for a gold plate on... More

The B&B was amazing. Very close to the metro, perfectly clean, air-conditioned and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very nice. Near is Via Nazionalle with plenty of shops and restaurants. Undoubtedly recommended.

Had the pleasure of staying here recently. Close to the main train station which is great if you have luggage, but far enough away as to not hear trains and other noise. Quiet and safe location. Was greeted by the lovely people there and given keys to front security gate, front door and room. Lift or stairs up to second... More

Very good upkeep, comfortable beds, modern bathroom (friendly owner made a point of showing off new in-toilet bidet, but anyway) Lift available, close to Termini (3-4min walk) and a couple of nice restaurants/ gelatarias nearby. Definitely perfect for a base to explore rome and surrounding area.

Friendly owner and staff, although emails prior to arrival did not receive responses. Location and WiFi connection were both good. Ok for a couple of days, not longer. Very small room. Shower doors coming off and rusty soap wrack. Worn-out towels with stains. Breakfast insufficient for a morning of sightseeing and it's served between 8am-9am only!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
