A nice place to stay, two minutes from via venneto and ten minutes from spanish steps. You can walk everywhere from there. Beautiful clean and modern room with all the comforts. You get enough breakfast every day. Maurizio himself and the people who work there are very kind and helpful to anything you may ask. The price is OK considering... More

The room was very clean, big and cozy. though the porch is joined with other rooms there is a sense of privacy. the double bed were 2 singles put together... not the best for a couple hoping to enjoy it. the breakfast was ok, not special, just enough. The location was the really off the main tourist area, for good... More

My fiancé and his parents decided to take a 3 day trip to Roma. We needed a place to stay for 2 nights and wanted to stay somewhere local and not your typical hotel. We were more than impressed with this B&B and would definitely go back again. The team at Casa Di Maurizio were very pleasant and the breakfast... More

We stayed here from 9th-11th May 2014. We had a lovely greeting from Stefano and Sam, they showed us to our room which was beautiful, very clean and tastefully decorated, the en suite bathroom looked to be quite new and very modern. Sam gave us a map of the city and marked on it where the B+B was, where the... More

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights. We had a tough time finding it, as there was construction in the area. Also, the B&B is not its own building. Rather, it is a suite of rooms in an apartment building. When we finally figured out its location, we were a little turned off by the apartment, which wasn't... More

We stayed for 3 nights - short break in Rome. Don't be put off when you arrive to a scaffolded building. Inside, the rooms are spotless and a good size, with plenty of storage. Breakfast was brought to the room - perfectly adequate to start the day. If you want more there are plenty of places nearby. We walked into... More

Casa di Maurizio is a small B&B consisting of four rooms in a semi-residential area of Rome. We stayed in the yellow room, and our experience was superb. Maurizio contacted us ahead of time to arrange to meet us at our approximate arrival time, and from then on it felt like we had the place to ourselves, disrupted only by... More

This was close to the train station. A grocery store and cafe' bars near by as well as an excellent restaurants. We walked most of the time but used the subway to get across the Tiber River to see the Vatican. The room was updated and staff was friendly and helpful, however no reception. There was some difficultly with the... More

We were very satisfied during our stay. We stayed three nights in June and my brother had the Maurizio Prestige (which was like a 5 star hotel) for two nights. Everything was great. The rooms are extremely clean, all have AC, flat screen TV and Stefano, the owner was very helpful. He arranged for us a taxi to the Airport... More

The room is very tastefully furnished, good-sized, clean, soundproof and fully equipped. The bathroom is clean and functional. The location is good and on walking distance of the city center and the area is safe and quite. The breakfast was inadequate, since it only contained sweet flavors and the coffee was average. The following incident destroyed my overall impression: the... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
