The location of the Flann O'brien Rooms was very good. You can reach everything by foot. Rooms are small, but cosy with their own bathroom. Breakfast at the pub downstairs was good. Service could be better both at the reception and the pub. All in all - good value for the money you are paying.

Nice location in center of Rome with 15-30min walking distance to main attractions. Rooms are clean but very tiny. Not much space in toilet as well and shower again is very small. Breakfast (free) standar is just toast, some sort of pie and ornage jucie and coffe. Anything else you have to pay but much less than ordinary price.

We spent 5 nights here. We had rooms in the annex just 5 min. from the pub and reception, it was very quiet. The hotel has a fine location 10 min walk to Termini and 15 min to Colloseum or Fontana di Trevi. The breakfast is served in the pub and it was nothing special but it will do. The... More

I loved my stay there! My room was the perfect size for me and spotlessly clean. The staff was delightful-always smiling and willing to help. Anna and Sari were exceptional as well as the restaurant staff-the food was great-cappuccinos' incredible. Perfecto!

Stayed on Via Nazionale. Very well located place near the historic center, very close to the Termini train station, bus and metro, Practical tasteful little room, and although service was OK, was disappointed with the size of the room, which was small, and the shower was even smaller.!! (And could do with a good scrub!) We paid E281.00 euro for... More

We loved our stay at Flann O'Brien rooms. Anna checked us in at the pub, gave us a map and lots of tips on how to get about, which places to go & which to avoid. So helpful. She walked us over to our room which was in an apartment building a couple of streets away. The room was small... More

Flann O'Brien is a great place! It is perfectly located in Rom and you can easily reach everything you want to see by feet from its location. We arived late in the evening by car, we drove from Fiumicino airport with to tierd kids and driving in Rom can be difficult due to the "limited roads" where only vehicles with... More

I was in this hotel in the december 2013. It was a very pleasant stay. Room was cute, warm and clean and the hotel is located perfectly because the train station, bus station and some of the most important monuments are in its vicinity. We had breakfast included and it was consisted of croissant, some biscuits and jam and juice... More

Loved our stay here the hotel was nice, clean, good size. Wifi in the room. Good breakfast included. Loved it. Great location. It was half the price of a hotel next door, and from what I heard it was twice as good. They wanted to move to ours Recommended!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
