Emailed ahead as requested, arrived earlier than expected and were greeted warmly by Paolo who showed us around and advised us on buses and the distance to surrounding attractions. The room was lovely, a good size, clean, with tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning and an excellent balcony overlooking the Via Nationale. The bathroom was clean with a good... More

I strongly recommend this hotel. Easy walk one direction to the colosseum and easy walk to Trevi fountain and Pantheon in another direction. We stayed here for 4 nights as did our friends. Their room had the air conditioner break the first night we arrived. The Owner, Paolo, immediately had a portable unit brought in to correct this issue. The... More

Lovely greeting, such helpful & friendly people. Our room was the junior suite, which had a double balcony, great for sitting out on of evening, watching the world go by, whilst our little one slept. Fantastic sized room, kettle, effective hairdryer & the air con was a god send in the heat of Rome, a couple of times we nipped... More

My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights in July 2014, and couldn't have asked for better. Location was great - walking distance to everything and service was wonderful. Room always clean and air-con worked great. If we had any questions, there was always someone there to help us. Couldn't have asked for better for what we were looking... More

The location of the hotel is perfect - it's extremely close to all main attractions, and very close to the metro and bus stops. The rooms are very large, some come with a small lovely balcony. The hotel is very clean and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The walls are not completely soundproof, so you might sometimes hear... More

We stayed here in May of 2011. This was our first trip to Rome and we lucked out! Rome Sweet Rome is the PERFECT location! The owner was kind and gave great directions and made wonderful recommendations for sights to see, places to eat and ways to get around. When you first arrive it can be confusing, like another person... More

Thank you for your praises on the quality and the location of Rome Sweet Rome. We are glad that you intend to stay with us again. Obviously, we would never dream of refusing a registration at check-in for only 2 Euros missing, this is not way we conduct our business. We are sorry for the inconvenience you suffered, which was... It is hard to find at first, look for the tall green doors! You will be greeted by a kind old man and his wife (+60) his English is good for Italian standard! There are 5 rooms, all of high standard with nice beds and toilets! The first day after a long flight we went for a long walk, when... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
