Five points hardly do any justice for the service you get in this wonderful place. Aklesia will go above and beyond call of the duty to make sure everything is perfect for you. You will feel very safe in this B&B. Remember to ask for restaurant recommendations. You won't regret it... The location is great. We had the corner room... More

I was there on cold January days and chose that place for strategic location between work and pleasure and for it prize. It was very good value for money and Aklesia was very friendly and helpful - offering a private breakfast for me. The 60 steps up to the forth floor are a challenge but a good exercise. Overall I... Gianfranco was nice enough to allow me to book one of his places a couple of days before Christmas Day. Although he would be on a planned Christmas lunch with family out of town, he made arrangements to ensure I had access to the apartment upon my arrival with a friend of his Roberto (sorry if I misspelled his name)... Aklesia and Gianfranco are incredibly warm and welcoming hosts. They put you at ease immediately with their large smiles and they are always eager to provide interesting information and addresses. Aklesia is present in the morning and Gianfranco is around in the evening, so you regularly meet the hosts. LOCATION The Aklesia Suite B&B is ideally situated: at only a... More

My husband and I spent 4 wonderful days in Rome at the Aklesia B&B. We stayed in the Red room which was very nice with a comfortable bed, seperate sitting room and lovely, large, clean bathroom. This room has lovely views, but not a view of the collosseum. Situated between two Metro stations, and a 5 minute walk to the... More

Aklesia and Gianfranco warmly welcome their guests, provide helpful tourist info, and are wonderful hosts. We stayed 2 nights in the Red Room - attractively decorated, comfortable bed, spacious rooms, very clean, good wifi service.... and an ideal location for sightseeing! The Colosseum, the Forum and the Palatine Hill are a 5 minute walk away. To get to the B&B... More

Aklesia (and Gianfranco) made us feel at home instantly. They run a peaceful B&B with only three rooms but in a very unique way. The rooms are very stylish and revolve around a particular colour (red, blue or golden) and are embedded on the top floor of an authentic Roman house. The view on the Colosseo and surroundings is spectacular,... More

We stayed in the Blue Room for 4 nights, which has a glimpse of the Colosseum from the window. The bed was very nice, but the street below is a bit noisy - as you would expect in central Rome! It was about a 5 minute walk to the Colosseum and almost everything is within walking distance, or it is... More

First and foremost, the location of Aklesia Suite B&B is brilliant - a 5 minute walk to the Colosseum/Palatine HIll and an easy 15/20 minute stroll into the city centre, but on a seemingly local street not crawling with tourists. Bedrooms were large and rustic with nice bathrooms, and all very clean and well maintained. Aklesia and Gianfranco were wonderful... More

We have spent our "honey week-end" at Aklesia B&B and since then recommend this B&B to all of our friends. Aklesia and Gianfranco are wonderful hosts, happy to help with their advices and their Knowledge of the city. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The B&B is ideally situated lose to the Coliseum (we could actually see it from... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
