This place is an amazing deal at a perfect location. I went to Rome on a standby flight with a friend and was able to book a room at the very last minute. The owner Barbara was reliable with communication, and took the time to graciously give us recommendations for what to see, eat, and a few great tips on... More

My wife and i stayed at La picola Maison about the middle of April 2014. This was our first trip to Europe and had just started our crash course in International travel by arriving at the airport at 12 midnight after a 6hr. layover in Instanbul and finding out our prearranged shuttle didn't show. Very aggrivating! Grabbed a taxi and... More

We stayed at La Piccola Maison from 27 Dec until 2 Jan. The hotel is located right behind Piazza Spagna and also close to a metro station. There are numerous nice places to eat around. Our host Barbara was wonderful and gave us many useful tips. Finally, the transportation from and to the airport was great.

We booked last minute and were received with a warm welcome and excellent accommodations. We were upgraded to a separate 2 bedroom apartment next door to the main building. It was private and spacious. The location is great. Barbara was very helpful giving us suggestions of where to eat. It has a small kitchen which was great for making our... More

2 of my friends and I were backpacking through Europe and found La Piccola Maison for 43 euro per night (14 euro each which is less than a youth hostel). We arrived expecting a terrible hotel in a good location but instead we found an amazing place to stay. We had a room with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen,... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
