I enjoyed my stay at La Piccola Maison in Rome very much! Although it was a little hard to find (looking at the pictures on this site would have helped greatly!!) it was a great place to stay for my visit! My room and bathroom were both very clean and the staff, Barbara, was very helpful. She even gave me... More

We stayed at La Piccola Maison last weekend for my husbands 50th birthday and what a treat it was! Had the warmest welcome ever from Barbara, the manager, who showed us all the best places to visit and had some very helpful suggestions about where to eat and where to find the best Gelato and Tiramisu! She also very kindly... More

I went to Piccola Hotel with a friend to visit rome for the first time. We were welcomed by an amazing lady, Barbara was very nice and helpful. Great location. Clean hotel with almost all the basics covered perfectly, except no breakfast.... But that was not an issue, a great place is just 2 min away. I do highly recommend... More

This place is clean, spacious and in the perfect central location. We were greeted by the owner on arrival and she took the time to sit with us and go through any questions we had and gave us her expert advice on places to visit and eat. I strongly recommend this hotel!

Arriving in muggy Rome and dragging my case from the train station. I was hot and tired. As soon as the heavy door opened and the beautiful Barbara was standing there with a lovely smile and happy grin. I was in heaven. Her happy chatting and helpful information made my stay wonderful. Sure the rooms are small, but they are... More

The rooms are fantastic. Very comfortable, spacious and nicely designed. The location is ideal to get everywhere by walking or metro. Barbara is a great host and had lots of suggestions that made our stay delightful. Worthy of all the five star reviews.

The hotel is in one of the best locations in all of Rome. You are steps away from the Metro, and central to all of the great things in Rome. Our room was small, but very clean and tidy. The fixtures were new, and everything worked well. The bathroom even had a hair dryer, that my wife appreciated very much.... More

What a great place to stay on my first trip to Rome! Room was exceptionally clean, and we felt right at home in our boutique hotel. Barbara was awesome, so helpful and welcoming. Was with a group and we were treated like familia. The location was perfect for sightseeing, and right around the corner from a great café for capucchino... More

On arrival Barbara explained that the room in the Piccola Maison was not available because a guest had taken the key (I think) and alternatives in that building had no hot water (I think). She shephered me to another co-managed place (Trevi) where I had a larger (I am pretty sure) and well-appointed room. A little clinical in style but... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
