Perfectly located in the heart of Rome, and walking distance to the Spanish Steps and subway to conveniently take you everywhere else. The staff was extremely accommodating and hospitable. It was like staying at a hotel/B&B. They were very helpful in obtaining tickets to the Vatican, arranging airport taxi pickup, and suggesting local places to dine. Upon checking out they... More

It was my first time in Rome and i was feeling hectic, not able to know if I've booked the right place or not due to the endless hotels located all around this touristic city. However that only lasted for 20 min (from the airport to the hotel) until i discovered that La Piccola Maison was my jackpot ! It's... More

My wife and I were here for our honeymoon in Sept 2014, 3 nights at this property. We took the train/metro in from FCO. Very easy to find and very, VERY convenient to everything in Rome. The Vatican is the furthest walk at about 30 min, but there's quite a bit to see within about 10. You're right on the... More

Spacious rooms, clean and bright. Great location, can walk to Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps. Barbara is fantastic and super helpful to make suggestions for tours, dinners or gelato nearby. Excellent value.

We arrived at Piccola Maison after a long road-trip to Rome and were welcomed by Barbara, who acted as a very helpful, knowledgable and charming personal host. Our room was small, yet stylish, functionally furnished and very clean. The entire place is a converted private apartment with much attention given to style and functionality. The location right in the heart... More

We just stayed for 3 nights, the host ( owner?) Barbara was so helpful! She arranged a private driver from the airport ( that was cheaper than a taxi) and told us what to pay. She also arranged affordable private tours for us. The rooms were super clean and had a modern and rustic look. Next time I am in... More

All was perfect. room spacious for three, two bathrooms an separate bedroom ( I think we got upgraded because of cancellation) water provided in mini fridge. Host Barbara so friendly, gave us map with directions, suggestions. Said to call her anytime. Arranged transport from airport since we arrive after midnight. This is a well located place with nice rooms and a staff that's nothing short of terrific. Barbara in particular was super helpful in helping with taxis, restaurants, and so on. A lovely person who takes joy in pleasing people. The fact that there isn't a breakfast was not a problem. Barbara recommended a good place for coffee, and we... More

I stayed over a weekend in June. In a room with an external private bathroom. Location: This is a top location for visiting Rome. You can walk everywhere and even if you don't want to walk the metro and bus stops is 30 seconds walk away. The location is really safe and aesthetics of the area is really trendy with... More

Great location. We could walk to most sites, plus subway close by. Since there were three of us, we got the bigger unit which had a small kitchen and separate bedroom. It worked great for us. Not a traditional hotel, but that's what we liked about it. Also, good Wi-Fi.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
