Just returned from 5 night stay at RR. As previous reviews state the owner Massimo is extremely helpful, and even booked a "timed entry ticket" to a museum for us before our arrival in Rome. The accommodation is located 5 minutes from Termini, the main rail and bus area, and is extremely convenient when returning to the hotel. It consists... More

Fantastic place to stay, would highly recommend it to friends. Great hospitality from Massimo. It's a 5 min walk to the Termini station where there is metro and can reach many other attractions. Around 15-20 min walk to the colosseum.

Excellent location, so close to train and buses. Clean, and quiet. Massimo (owner) so kind and attentive. I was sick with the flu and he checked in on me to make sure I had everything. We even returned after our trip to Florence.

We have been staying in Rome many many times and always stay near the Termini since it is such a convenient base to visit Rome and the surrounding area. We have stayed at hotels in the area and also at B&B type accomodation such as Roman Residence. These "B&B" have previousely been appartment/residence dateing back to the late 1800's. So... More

My wife and I had stayed at Roman Residence for 2 nights in October 2012 and my review then complimented Massimo for his outstanding personal service. We stayed again recently for 2 nights and again had great service. Massimo works hard to accommodate his guests’ needs, e.g. early or late arrivals, printing boarding passes, even going to an office to... More

Just a couple of hundred metres from the main Rome railway station, Roman Residence is in a wonderful location for travellers, even if the area is relatively seedy. However, once in your room you feel that the madding crowd is far behind you. The rooms are specious and more than adequate, with fine if small bathrooms. The best feature is... More

Yes Massimo should be the new word for friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for this man. He sent us emails with directions from the rail station to his hotel and even greeted us at the door. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The hotel is close enough to almost everything in fact we walked to all... More

We were three adults in our mid-60s staying for 3 nights in Massimo's hotel. We found the room to be large enough to accommodate us along with our individual suitcases. The beds were comfortable in a country that seem to prefer hard mattresses. It has the look of modern decor with new wood tile flooring, which we appreciated rather than... More

The things that put this place above the average hotel near Termini: Massimo is a welcoming and helpful host. The hotel is located in Esquilino, close to the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, a better area than the other side of Termini. The room and bathroom were reasonably clean and well fitted (except that the huffing and puffing noise of... More
