Hotel Filippo is a very nice hotel compared with its price. The staff was very kind and friendly, they assisted me whenever I needed during my stay. The room was big and clean. Location is very central but if you know Rome a little, you should not expect much around Termini. The only negative point of the hotel was the... More

This is a good hotel for the price-very clean and big enough, well equipped room. It is close to Metro and Termini station. The location itself is practical, though the neighbourhood might be intimidating for some people at night.

The hotel is located near the central train/metro/bus station Termini. We booked in hotel Fillipo, but we stayed at hotel Simone which is two buildings away, but both are on teh same owner, Mr. Lee. We were from 1-6 Nov. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast is coffee/cappuccino/tea and donuts/croissant at a nearby bar. I would recommend this hotel... More

The hotel is located in Chinatown near the metro so it is very convenient. We were also moved to hotel sky Roma. As reviewed, once inside the hotel is very nice. The room is super clean and the bathroom was spotless. I must say that the owner Mr Lee is SUPER friendly and helpful, going above and beyond just to... More

We stayed in the Sky Roma building and it was great. Metro station close by and easy to get to. The staff was very helpful and told us we could call them anytime. The room was very clean and comfortable. Bigger shower than most in Italy. Great hotel for the price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel has very recently been renovated and is a modern and straight forward city hotel. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is based on one floor of an apartment building, so is quite difficult to find and doesn't look much from outside, but once in, it is very nice and... More

We reserved a room for Hotel Filippo, but when we got there, the manager took us a couple blocks away to their other hotel Roman sky. It was a half underground room, quite dark. But we were not looking for anything else but a place to stay for two nights to see some of Rome. And for this it was... More

We stayed at Hotel Sky for 4 nights. The room is not very spacious, but the security of the place is quite good. Considering I have read a lot of hotel break-ins happening in Rome, this hotel had 2 automatic security doors before you can enter the hotel. Even though it does not look like the conventional hotels we have... More

Just back from Rome after spending 4 nights at Hotel Filippo. Overall great location, very clean and comfortable. More like a small apartment. Once we checked out we had a full day in Rome and asked the owner if he would look after our luggage, he did so with out hesitation, we would definitely book this again.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
