I've stayed in many of the hotels that crowd themselves around Terminii station but this is more a homely, friendly B & B than a hotel as it says. It's not that hard to find if you follow the road down the western side of Terminii station until it starts to go downhill and there's a road tunnel under the... More

Excellent stay at B&B Cappellini. Don't be taken aback by the location which may seem a little unsafe (although very close to Termini Station) as when you enter the B&B you will feel right at home! A really sweet place and a very friendly and knowledgeable owner, ready to help your every need. The room was great, I didn't even... More

This place has very good location as it is right next to termini the train station. However, the area is a bit shady so I would recommend to be careful when walking in this area during late. Pasquale, the host, is super friendly and very helpful! He is indeed a very good host! The place itself is ok, and is... More

My daughter and I were travelling in Rome and found this B&B based on the reviews we thought it would be ok. We had stayed in another hotel with breakfast around the Termini train station which was fine, but the area where the Cappellini is very sketchy - homeless and street people all around and graffiti and dragging 50 pound... Situated close to train station which is a few minutes away by walk to the centre. Very tidy and clean, excellent if you want a comfortable place to rest. Staff is very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

The owner of the hotel was very nice. He carried the luggage upstairs for us and he offered us many good recommendations. The location was also great as it was right next to Termini station. There was wifi connection and breakfast included. The hotel also had a lot of restaurants around. So overall i would recommend this hotel for its... More

I looked for a spot near Termini Station. This is an advantageous area because of good transport connections to the airport and the seaport and good access to the sights. There are many choices of B&B or hotels here. This place is 15 minute walk from the station, 20 with luggage. This is not very close, but if little else... More

I think the very recent reviews are spot on, good value for money in central rome. I stayed 4 nights in peak season Pasquale is always willing to spend the time to inform guests from everything such as good places to eat (key), cheap transport options to airports etc and where to get other items such as clothing. Also obviously... More

This fun B&B is very clean and comfortable and the décor is whimsical and fun. The location, coming from the train station, is a bit off-putting, but from other directions it is fine so walking home at night felt reasonably safe for a big city. We were able to walk to all the sites we wanted except the Vatican. Particularly... More

After staying in Rome for a few days, we decided to prolong our stay at B&B Cappellini, and boy were we happy to find this hidden gem! Pasquale, the owner, is really great. He is a multilingual man (speaking Italian, English, Mandarin and Cantonese) and is attentive to your every need. What blew us away is that the owner is... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
