Day 1. Staff seemed very helpful. rooms were nice and clean. Fairly quiet but beware no double glazing so could hear some of the traffic. Otherwise ok. We went in OCtober where nights were chilly but the heating was not on so had to have extra blanket at night. DAy 2- oh dear! .came down for breakfast to find no... More

We spent 3 nights in Rome, from Saturday to Tuesday. The room was compact, but adequate; the bed was a good size & comfy; the shower room small, but well fitted; the breakfast buffet was continental & good and the staff service was very helpful. The Saturday night was a bit noisy outside, but this died down before midnight and... More

The hotel is about 10 minutes on foot from the nearest Metro station, so quite good for those arriving in Rome by train, not far from San Giovanni or Colosseo. Although, its location is good enough for tourism, with some restaurants around. The general stay was not bad at all, even if the hotel is not flawless - bathroom carpet... More

Great small and friendly hotel for short stay in Rome. I'd like to make a special mention to the staff. They were very pleasant and attentive; from helping to operate our air con when we checked in late to giving us directions to even buying bananas specially for us when they had ran out one morning at breakfast! There are... More

I would definitely recommend Hotel Valeri to anyone looking for a modern, well-located and affordable hotel in Rome. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful - from giving us a warm welcome at our late check-in, to waiting on us at breakfast, to providing us with directions and travel advice for our day trips. The rooms are modern,... More

Weekend in Rome, cannot fault Hotel Valeri, great location, a 15-20 minute walk to the Colosseum, read a few complaining about this, but Rome is a city that you have to be prepared to do some walking, and the area is great, lots of little cafes etc. along the route, so it's a good excuse to stop for a coffee!... We stayed here for 3 days end of May. Great hotel nice clean bedrooms. TV, air conditions, wifi all free of charge. When we checked in they were quick and helpful. No lift. Breakfast was great basic but it did fill you up. Only one comment I missed some sort of salad or tomato at breakfast. Public transport is excellent.... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt.
