We stayed in the Valeri for a long weekend early March and very pleased with the accordant ion throughout it, from the warm welcome at reception to the lovely rooms, with amazing big comfy beds even the wifi was great and a strong signal even in the room. The hotel is as mentioned 5 /10 mins walk from the colosseum... More

Pretty good hotel. Its location could be better. Far from the city centre and the hot tourist points. However it is next to the bus stop. It is 15-20 minutes walk from the Colosseum. Too much noise made by the ambulances that pass by all the time (the hotel is located near a large hospital). Huge and comfortable bed, polite... More

We found this hotel in last minute. We decided to come here based on the reviews. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They all speak very good english. Sharka is the best. Always kind and ready to help. It is a small hotel, but we knew that. Indeed the walls are thin so you need to keep it down... More

My cousin and I went traveling for a month all over Europe. We found Hotel Valeri on Booking.com on average $90 a night and stayed there for about a week. Its quite a small hotel, no more than 10 bedrooms but I think you get better service that way. Every morning there was free breakfast and it wasn't just some... More

We were here for 3 nights. The hotel is very small, the staff is friendly, the location - 10-15min walk to colloseum, in the same road there are few italian restaurants. Not far away from Caracalla Baths and a bus No 714 takes directly from/to Termini station. Metro station S. Giovanni is in 20 min walk. Nearby is St Giovanni... More

Stayed at the property towards the end of October. It's a small boutique hotel with extremely helpful staff. The hotel has no elevator & the staff was quick in helping us with taking our luggage into our room. The rooms are quite small, but I think it's quite normal in Rome. Bus stop is just a minutes walk away and... More

Ideal location - sights are within walking distance as is the Metro and there is a bus stop across the road. Breakfast was great with lots of pastries and the BEST orange juice and cappuccinos. The staff were exceptional and the room lovely and comfortable. We'd definitely stay again.

This is a lovely place, the staff couldn't be more helpful and although the breakfast was Continental there was plenty of it. The room was clean, tidy and well looked after. I would recommend it to anyone. If you didn't want to drive the 81 bus takes you all the way to Vatican city and most of the sights between... More

This hotel has no separate area for breakfast so you are sat with the desk staff watching you...very uncomfortable! No bar to sit and relax in, no english TV stations and by far the worst no coffee or tea making facilities in rooms. In my opinion not a good place to stay but if you like the loud sound of... More

Friendly service. With brilliant distant from the colosseum and about 20 minute taxi ride from Ciampino airport. There on holiday with family. With very little Italian between us they helped us to book a table for dinner. Rooms where clean and nicely decorated. Would recommend to anyone.

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
