The hotel's website does a good job of making it look beautiful. And to be fair, some of the public spaces are quite nice. But the rooms are poor - more like a pensione - unless one takes the most expensive category. Mine was certainly not cheap but it was tiny, with a view of a wall, with ugly old... More

I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my stay at this hotel. The terrace has one of the best views in Rome. I highly suggest going up to the terrace for a drink about an hour before the sun goes down. The rooms were nice and roomy, considering the area has some of the most historic structures in Rome. The amenities... More

Donna Camilla Savelli Hotel has lots of character and charm, with a 4-star staff and uplifting atmosphere, as bright light pours in from the courtyard. Our room was small (like a hotel in Paris) compared to our friend's room (size of a hotel room in the U.S.), but had enough space for us. The courtyard was beautiful and the breakfast... More

We stayed for 1 night at the Donna Camilla Savelli Hotel. The ambiance of the hotel was great, the location perfect for Trastevere and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. We had a small room at the third floor. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The only negative we can say is that the room... More

I found this hotel in DK. This hotel was designed by Borromini as a monastery. it still belongs to the nuns of the original order. Everything about the hotel was spacious, exceptionally clean and nicely appointed with period furniture. The courtyard was large and very beautiful. We enjoyed breakfast there in the mornings and a nice glass of wine after... More

I have have just returned from the Donna Camilla after a 3 night stay. I found the hotel to be very clean and the staff are so helpful and polite. We absolutely loved the rooftop terrace and night and took a bottle of wine to watch the sun set, and the amazing view you have up there. I was lucky... More

We spent 2 nights in this great hotel. As a converted convent, the building had lots of character, but was also very clean, well-restored and well-kept. Our room was not large but had more than enough space, and overlooked the city. The courtyard was beautiful and the breakfast and coffee were also great. We felt it was a perfect area... More

We have just returned from Rome after a super 3 day stay at the Donna Camilla Savelli. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and they even upgraded us to an Executive Room with a view as it was our wedding anniversary. The hotel entrance is by far the most beautiful I saw during our stay and the courtyard where... More

This is a great hotel - it is in a converted convent designed by Borromini in the 17th century. In the mornings the nuns are often still seen walking the corridors. The hotel maintains character but has comfortable amenities. The bathrooms are particularly beautiful. Be sure to go on the roof top terrace in the evening to watch the sunset... More

We just spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel, in an old convent. We like interesting hotels with character, and this fits the bill. Our room was good sized, with a sitting room, bathroom with original facade of the convent in the bathroom (!) and a private terrace with views of Rome. Breakfast was a nice buffet in a lovely...
