Rooms have a lovely subdued elegance, and the hotel itself is beautiful. But no champagne glasses on new years eve, seriously, nor wireless in the rooms?
I know this was an old monastery but would be nice to have hot showers in the mornings and a less cool reception. Restaurant recommendations? A shrug and the receptionist pointed down the road....

This Place is just beautiful. Nicely located in Trastevere next to the Antica Pesa (overrated). It is an old convent and you could still Sense this atmosphere when you walk the premises. Ancient wooden doors, sculptures, the friendly remaining nuns who greet you friendly when they walk in the Garden or on...

A short walk to all the main sites in Rome. Wonderfull staff and clean rooms with a good selection of spreads for breakfast. Would stay there any...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, on arrival we were ignored for a while as the front desk is definitely not that of a 4 star, no concierge, no welcome smile etc.
We were shocked when we saw the room which was underground, poky with a view of a bare courtyard. While checking out nobody asked us if...

Excellent hotel to stay in Trastevere, would recommend it to all. Beautiful old monastery, newly renovated rooms and fabulous breakfast room. Wifi in room (not only in shared areas) would make it even more fantastc.

Thank you trip advisors for bringing me to this hotel!
The location was great...secluded on a hill in an interesting neighborhood of restaurants, locals, and shops yet a brief walk over the bridge to the center of Rome.
The rooms were spacious and clean...great bathroom and the building maintains
the feel; high ceilings and stonework, etc. of the former monestary...

This hotel's website says that the hotel is "relaxing," and many TA reviews comment that the rooms are quiet, at least those that face the inner courtyard. Based on that information, we booked (and prepaid) for a room facing the inner courtyard. During our stay, the hotel hosted a large party for more than 100 in the inner courtyard. The...

Hotel Donna Camilla Savelli is a good base for anyone who wants to stay in the bustling, happening Trastevere area in Rome. It's good and close to numerous restaurants, cafes, shops and bars, but it also maintains a unique aura of tranquility and quiet: this probably stems from its years as a monastery. In fact, you might see a nun...
