We arrived late at night (midnight) and having informed Casa Cleo in advance of this late arrival, we called when we were outside and were promptly buzzed in. The manager who was there when we arrived was very friendly and gave us lots of information and annotated a map for us of the nearby sights and walking routes, considering the... More

If STAIRS are a problem do not stay here. Two & a half flights of Steele marble stairs before you reach the eccentric elevator. Then another 3 or 4 flights to Casa Cleos door. The elevator is coin operated. The stairs are not. There are keys. Key for the door off the street, key for elevator(as well as coins) key... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in September and it was lovely, the room was big and bright and had a very modern bathroom. There was a safe in the wardrobe which was very handy and was explained how to use it by the guy on reception. The breakfast was in the cafe next door to the hotel which was... More

Casa cleo is located only a street or two behind the beautiful colosseum so the location was perfect for sightseeing as the tour buses all had stops nearby. The room was big, clean and comfortable and although we had to phone a mobile number to be let in, a man called Augustus greeted us soon after and was very friendly... More

Last week my boyfriend and I spent 5 days at Casa Cleo in Rome, and it was not the greatest experience. To start with, the place was poorly signaled (we had to ask in the hotel next door to find it). The staff seem to be there only when someone arrived, in order to collect the payment, and then they... More

First of all, you are lucky if you figure out where in Via Cavour is this B&B. Go for the building number (136) because there are absolutely no boards or signs except that. Once you enter the door, there comes a huge flights of stairs (3rd floor) that can make you hate it even before you enter it, especially if... More

Casa Cleo is a good choice for a budget trip to Rome. The location is excellent. Situated on via Cavour, at max 10 minutes walk from Termini station. It is close to the Colosseum (10 mins walk), S. Maria Maggiore, St Peter in Vincoli, Foro Imperiali and Piazza Venezia. Via Cavour is a big street, well lighted at night, felt... More

Casa cleo is a family run b&b. they give you a coupon for breakfast at the cafe next door and its horrible. You wouldnt eat more than once. The briosche and cappucino is not good at this cafe. The rooms are in 3rd floor and to use the elevator to carry your bags you need to insert coins!! Havnt seen... More

Owners/management were friendly;clean room and bathroom (no tub), clean/fresh towels and pretty room decor. Plenty of electrical outlets for useage. Only cappuccino/pastry for breakfast. Ask management when clean towels and sheets are provided so you are not surprised. This is a bed and breakfast, after all, not a hotel. Close to colosseum, the metro, and in the heart of Rome.... Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
