I stayed here in October 2014. It is conveniently located 5 mins walk from Termini station but is slightly oddly sited off a courtyard. The Wifi only worked if you sat on the floor, or opened the window... it was fast at times but could not work well sat on the bed at the head end. The owner/manager was very... More

I was a little disappointed at this hotel after the excellent ratings a lot of people had given. The room is small but fine, the bathroom and shower are tiny. The room has a small tv (all itilian stations), a safe, small desk and a hair dryer. The hotel is very quiet at night but I wouldn't recommend this hotel... More

This B&B is located off a courtyard, so you avoid the typical noise of traffic in Rome. The room was small but clean and cleaned daily, breakfast is ample, and the wifi is fast. It is very centrally located, a quick walk to the main train station that has buses/trains to the airport and to downtown, and to lots of... More

Very good B&B, clean rooms, very friendly and warm welcome from the host. GREAT LOCATION near Termini, walking distance to a lot of sites. Breakfast is more than enough given the Rome hotel/hostel standards, served in a cozy small kitchen in the first floor. It may be noisy some times if your room is close to it though. The hotel... Advantages: Excellent location near Termini station, helpful staff, clean room. Disadvantages: Quite small room, poky bathroom, no soundproof, you can hear your neighbours, is not comfortable. The mattresses were very hard.

Our good impression started even before the arrival. We booked wrong dates accidentally, but thanks to Stephano, the owner, we could change the dates without any fee. Our room was in the centre, literally two blocks from Termini, which was handy after flying and getting in from the airport with suitcases. During the night it's not the nicest area, but... More

I chose to stay here based on the location to the Termini station and in this respect worked out great. The room however was small with a tiny shower to go with it. The shower area did have mold growing...The wifi worked at times and then others it did not. For the price I would say it's a little to... More

We were expecting a lot because of the good comments, but we were very disappointed about our room and the neighbourhood. Our room was very small, especially the shower. We didn´t feel save in the neighbourhood of termini. Wifi didn´t work well and the room was very noisy. Good price and friendly host.

We been in Piumith B&B for 5 nights and all i can say are words of praise! The B&B was 5 min. walk from Termini station and the view is at the backyard so it’s peaceful and quiet. Our host (maybe owner-not sure?) Alauddin,(hope i spell it right) was excellent! He kept everything clean and tidy, offer help with some... More

We stayed for five nights in September. The B&B can best be described as a residential apartment in a block. The location is close to the Rome Termini (Central) station. It might be at most a 5 minute walk. We booked a double room which ended up being basically two singled beds joined together. Room is spacious enough with a... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
