We stayed in Capricci Romani for 2 nights in January 2015. The host, Massimo, kept us in touch long before our trip to Rome, so we were ready to find a trouble with parking when we arrived to the city from Naples. The hotel does not provide a parking lot and we were ready to park the car 3-4 blocks... More

My review is late - sorry. I stayed here in September for 2 nights. The location is super easy to get to. I took the train from the airport then switched to the metro and walked to the B&B. Returning to the airport, the owner told me about the bus less than a 5 minute walk away and it was... More

Simple, very friendly in nice neighbourhood 5 min. on food from The Vatican. No luxury but everything worked. Very friendly and helpful landlord. Breakfast a little better than average. Would definitely come back.

We had a great vacation in Rome, we loved our accommodations and Masimo was an excellent host. When we arrived, he reviewed the map of the city with us and made suggestions to help us avoid the long lines at the places we wanted to visit. We followed all of his suggestions and saved a tremendous amount of time as... More

From the first moment I realized why everybody speaks about Massimo's hospitality in the reviews. He was really kind, helpful and friendly, waiting for me until very late at night that I arrived, with a map and excellent suggestions about the places to visit, to avoid waiting in line. The place has a perfect location to go walking everywhere (Vaticano,... More

Massimo, the owner was very friendly and helpful. The building is old with a lot of character and a perfect location - there is even a bus stop to the airport 5 min away. The breakfast was plentiful - more than I ever eat - and was different each day.

My girlfriend and I have just returned from a weekend in Rome. We chose the B&B largely because of the positive reviews and because of its location but, even so, our expectations were largely exceeded. The B&B couldn't be any closer to the Vatican, with Castel Sant'Angelo and the river around the corner and within walking distance of the main... More

My father and I have recently returned from a one week visit to Rome. We choose Cappricio Romani B&B on the strength of the many amazing reviews that this accommodation has received. We were not disappointed. Cappricio Romani is without question one of the best B&B’s we have stayed in. English speaking owner Massimo is a native Roman and what... More

Massimo (The owner) is a unique kind of a human being, he loves what he does, and it really shows when you are there. He enjoys the presence of the guests and is very welcoming, but not in an intrusive way- he has the most natural and easy going vibe to him, and it is just an enjoyable time around... More

We stayed here for two nights after our cruise on the recommendation of a friend. The owner,Massimo, was a great help in planning our time here. He gave us great tips for seeing the beautiful sights and where to eat, although after the great breakfast that proved to be secondary. The location is great, easy walking to a lot of... More

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighborhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighborhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighborhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
