If you're looking for a comfortable, clean and pleasant B&B look no further. i Tre pupazzi is located on a side street a short walking distance from the Vatican and Castle St. Angelo, and withing walking distance to Piazza Navona and other major attractions. The owners, Stefano and Roberta are excellent and most helpful hosts. I got there using the... More

Location is fantastic, five minutes from St Peter's. But this B&B is a bit hard to find. It's a second floor apartment that has been divided into a number of bedrooms so there's no sign outside, just a very small name beside the bell at the door. Inside it's more like a family home, looking rather lived-in. But it's clean,... More

This B & B is nice, in a good location to St Peter 's Square, and other sightseeing attractions. B & B is in a building in a narrow street on the 2nd floor, there is a small lift to help with luggage. 3 rooms two with ensuites, One with a shared bathroom. Good size rooms and bathrooms. Rooms can... More

I have never been in such bad place in all my life. We arrived the guy from the reception litterally agressed us because he wanted to catch his bus (it was 9pm). He was extremly agressive and wanted only to make us pay. I didn't welcome us as we could expect in B and B and shout on my wife.... More

The hotel is ideally located, very near the bus stop and a short walking distance away from the vatican and many other sites. Giovanni is really friendly and helful (he speaks really good English). You can use the fridge and the kitchen but there are also nice restaurants not too far away (if you don't know where to go, you... More

Good value for Rome. More than ok, but depends (as always) on your expectations. Bedrooms are spacious, although i found the bed rather ready for renewal (although ok). Also, sounds from inside the building are quite clear, so you might consider bringing some earbuds if you're a light sleeper. Exterior sounds are not so much a problem (realy good isolated... More

Tre Pupazzi is a gem. Great location in a quiet street near Vatican and public transport. Room was large with generous en suite. Very clean. Breakfast basic do it yourself but all I needed. Outstanding was the personal service Giovanni gave me when I had problems contacting my daughter who was elsewhere in Rome. He lent me a mobile phone... More

It was an excellent choice since it was in the middle of Castel di sant'angelo and the vatican city. Surrounded with very nice restaurants and pizzerias. Giovanni and Rita was very helpful from the beginning and very friendly. The room was big and the bed was one of the most comfortable bed I had ever sleep. We were able to... More

I loved this place. I could write a novel about what a great experience we had. I'll just highlight a few key items. 1) Giovanni was really great with communication with me during our stay and before we arrived. He was always available and was always checking in to make sure our stay was going well. 2) The room was... More

We booked this for a 2-night stay based on the reviews about location and Giovanni's hospitality. The location is excellent, just around the corner from the St Peter's. Unfortunately, we only met Giovanni on check-out, which is unusual when you stay in a B&B. To his credit, he'd emailed ahead of time with tips on getting there from the airport... More

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighborhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighborhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighborhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
