There is no reception desk at all. We get private bathroom intead of the shared one as paied for :) but the splushing system was not working properly and it was not fixed even though we complained the first day. Bed was not comfortable for us, but it's the matter of taste. Breakfast included was ok (one sweet pastry and... More

I've been travelling around Italy for two weeks- this is by far the best low price place I've been. Rooms are nice-all the larger ones seem to have their own bathroom- they're clean and pleasant and we had a balcony- Staff seemed nice. Location is brilliant 20 minutes walk from station- 10 minutes walk from the forum. Breakfast is nice-... More

I stayed in this hostel in Aug 2015 with friends. The owner Barbara is extremely nice and helpful. She texted me the night before arrival, waited for us to check us in. The place is super clean, very small, only 3 rooms so not crowded. BarbaraI cleaned every day, changed towels, made the beds. Hair dryer, wifi, fridge, cold and... More

Awful. Moved to another site than what was advertised, where the room Was too hot and noisy so we couldn't sleep, after 2 nights we left and the owner wouldn't refund for the other nights. DON'T STAY HERE

Service was very good. Sympathetic woman (Barbara) welcome us. Location is very good as well - about 1 minute of walk to metro and about 10 minutes of walk to Coloseum. I recommend this accommodation.

A great find with easy access - walking and metro - to all the best bits of Rome. Barbara was very welcoming and helpful. TVs and wifi in rooms, with coffee, tea and brioche for available for breakfast. Lovely.

Hello, I'd say this was really great accomodation for very reasonable price. Really close to the center of Rome, metro station 2minutes walk from it. Rooms exactly like on photos, and host Barbara really nice person helped us with everything :)

Generous Barbara runs her place 10 min from Termini Station in a neat way. Most is quite minimalistic: as breakfast a soft Cornetto and a slice of cake, both well sealed, beverage DIY as much as you want. The doors are quite noisy in closing and, having glass in the upper part, let the doorlight in during nighttime, so shut... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
