We very much enjoyed our stay at Sixbeds. It is very closely located to the train station and we felt very comfortable in the room for all 3 nights. Max was a great host who gave us breakfast each morning, as well as a detailed map of how to get around to the major sights in Rome. Each day we... More

The hostel is situated close to the Termini and metro station, walking distance from most of tourist attractions. Max is very nice and helpful, gave us couple useful and needed tips. The room was clean and nice, overall a very good experience.

We utilised the very reasonable 40€ shuttle from the airport to six beds where we were given a very thorough run down on the hostel and the city by our awesome host max. The room we were staying in was as spacious as we needed and contained a safe where we could store our documents and euros. The hostel is... More

Many Thanks Samuel for your nice review. I'm sorry for your bed experience in the metro. Pick-pockets in public transport is unfortunately a bad roman reality. That's why I reccomand my guests to leave them stuff in the safety box I provided in every room! Max More

I'm really glad that I chose to stay at Sixbeds! Max was awesome...very helpful and really nice! We arrived about an hour or hour and a half later than originally planned, due to missing a train from Venice. I contacted him to let him know, and he was great at communicating via email. Sixbeds was in a great location. Not... More

My husband and I travelled to Italy over the last couple of weeks and made a quick stop in Rome. The city is quite dirty and run down, but the attractions are out of this world. Sixbeds was perfect for our 2 night stay. We got in really late our first night and the location is a short walk from... More

Thanks Melissa for your review. Just one note: breakfast is italian continental and consists in coffée or cappuccino, tea and fresh croissants daily served inthe apartment. Its' the best we can do to keep prices competitives. Also cereals and corn-flakes are available to reinforce it. Concerning the cleanless in Rome, seeing you, like every single tourist, pay the city tax,... More

The process of booking with Max, just like our stay at Sixbeds was seamless! The apartments are a mere 10 minute walk from Termini and a little bit more to Colosseum. Cleaned daily, provided with tasty croissants and coffee for breakfast, our room was just what we needed. We booked the one with a private bathroom and we recommend it... More

I had a great time in Rome and staying at a convenient, safe and comfortable location added to the experience. Sixbeds is located between the Termini station and Colosseum, the Colloseum being less than a ten minute walk away. It's actually quite close to a lot of the sights, and I preferred to walk everywhere, which was convenient. As a... More

I had a great time in sixbeds in Rome! IIt is not a touristic hotel or hostel- it is a real iatlian apartment in which I stayed in one room. Max is a very nice host. He is really professional in what he is doing. I told him my arriving time and he was there to welcome me and to... More

My wife and I had a great stay at Six Beds. The room was spacious and clean, and the apartment was in a great location: close to tourist destinations, but not right in the middle of it all. Many of our favorite discoveries in Rome actually ended up being near the apartment - it's a great neighborhood with excellent restaurants,... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
