The domus ester allowed us to live like Romans! This charming little hotel is more of a B&B with a handful of rooms on several floors of an apartment building. The desk attendants are sweet and extraordinarily accommodating. The breakfast in room was delivered each morning at the appointed time (assuming you want it between 8 and 10) and they... More

This hotel is great value in an excellent location within twenty minutes walk of all major attractions, very close to Campo Fiori and Trastevere. Very clean, staff are very friendly and helpful. It is not hard to find as some people have said if you are able to actually find an address, as the door has a sign on it... More

While not the easiest place to find, it was in a superb location near Campo De Fiori with many restaurants and shops around. There was no real lounge or common room area, just the reception desk and hotel room...great for people who want to be out and about all day and just need a quiet room! The lady at the... More

Difficult to find, as with most domestic styled properties in the back streets of Rome it looks 'run down' from the out side, the sign is also a bit small and high up so we walked passed it twice. There is graffiti on the walls and the streets are a bit grubby, Don't let that put you off though, once... More

We had trouble finding it , when we did there was greffiti on and around it didnt look very safe, and it looked like a private home. I went to go in but felt uncomfortable. we lost over $200.00 . Found that yes maybe you shouldnt tell a book by its cover but you need to feel safe.

My husband and I were in Europe for two weeks and decided to stay here for the first portion of our trip before we left for Spain, and due to the price and service, we decided to re-book the hotel at the end of our trip when we would come back to Rome for our flight back home. In terms... More

A great little hotel in the heart of Rome, within walking distance of all the important Places to visit, including Colloseum, Pantheon, Forum Romana, spanis steps, the vatican, the trastevere area and much, much more. It's a very cheap hotel, and there's no luxury, if that's what you're looking for, but the staff are the friendliest ever, the rooms are... More

We have just returned following a 5 night stay in Rome and were lucky enough to stay in the Domus Ester. I must admit, the initial walk down the street to it had me feeling nervous, but once I reached the reception on the 2nd floor I was blown away. The staff were so corteous and friendly, always had a... More

Ask for a remodeled room. It is absolutely adorable and spotless. The location is one of the best in Rome. Only two downsides: no air conditioning and the breakfast-in-bed was with industrial pastries and toast. If they got their food from a local bakery, the entire stay would be a 5 star quality.

Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighborhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
