I managed to obtain a great bed and breakfast deal at the Hotel Serapo via Travel Republic. I was not disappointed. On arrival at Formia/Gaeta train station I took a short bus ride to Formia port, then another bus to Gaeta. As others reviewers have mentioned, the Serapo's location is beautiful and virtually on the beach. There is however a... More

Wood board hard mattresses, sand bags as pillows! Good bathrooms. Large rooms. Noisy frigo bar. Weak breakfast with low quality elements, little choices. Dinner buffet with grilled vegetables and salad, common pasta, uneven main courses (good grilled sole one night, bad veal next day), second quality fruit for desert. Ok if you want to go on a diet! Gym and... More

I stayed here for a Tango Dance event. The hotel was surprisingly good. Helpful and easy going staff in reception as well as the restaurant and room cleaners. All so nice and friendly! The hotel has the best position in Gaeta. Balconies have views of the bay and the gorgeous golden beach is just metres away. The hotel has its... More

We were passing the day in Gaeta and turns out we missed the last train back to Rome so a change of plans. We asked a local person to recommend a couple of hotels. Due to the holiday season it was tough and we ended up at Serapo. Surprised it was on the side of the med, I took an... More

Location is fantastic, for the rest i would not spend 1 euro for this hotel. Rundown, old and breakfast very poor. There must be much better around. Room terribly old, no wifi in the room, the whole structure needs renovation

The property and rooms are just slightly upscale. There are a lot of rooms and the best part about the place is the location to the beach! Beds were not uncomfortable, but not a dream to sleep in. The amenities and upkeep are very good. The place is old without updates and has fun to funky drift wood displays between... More

Good hotel. Clean and comfortable. Could not find advertised pools (in or out) and spa! Restaurant is very good. Layout of hotel made finding way around difficult. English not well spoken, and my Italian is non-existent. This made things somewhat difficult, but everything worked out OK.

I spent two weeks at this glorious location. The staff was very accommodating, the rooms were more than adequate, the bathrooms were some of the best I have seen, and the view was as good as it gets. The location is the best in Gaeta and is within walking distance to most of the attractions. How can anyone say anything... More

If you want a hotel close to Gaeta's beaches, you can't beat this. Walk right out the front door and you have 100 yds to the beach. Chair and umbrella rentals available to make for an enjoyable stay on the beach. Split Mountain and the Turks Grotto are within a 4 minute car ride. Both must sees. The Grotto closes... More

We got a great room an the top floor with a huge balcony overlooking the sea. The rooms are quite expensive but clean and functional. The breakfast was fairly extensive for a continental breakfast - do try the frozen yoghurt. The private beach is just across the road, with sunbeds and umbrellas for hire although they don't force you to... More
