Very friendly staff, with brand new facilities. The breakfast was simple, and nice. The location was excellent, just across the street from the local train station back to Naples. We took a cab to get to the hotel, but not necesarry. You need to take the circouvensia from Naples, and take it to the downtown Pompei station.

The south of Itaty is not a pretty place, lots of trash, graffiti and an overall sense of neglect, but Pompeii Scavi is quite nice relatively and the Hotel Diana is a great little hotel if your going to visit the ruins or Vesuvius.(bypass Naples come directly here and go back there to see the Archeology museum, Naples is a day trip...

Indeed Hotel Diana deserves it's great reputation. The staff is just perfect and amazingly helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Heating system works well and shower in our room was great. Breakfast has all you need to charge the batteries for a walking day on the ruins of Pompei ( which is 5 min walking distance).

Four of us stayed in this hotel in March 2009. It is absolutely perfect for a day of touring Pompeii. It is near the train station, the ruins, the city center, and the bus stop to visit Mt. Vesuvius. The staff were all extremely helpful. From serving us beer to recommending which train to take they did everything we asked...

This hotel was one of our favorites during our stay in Italy! The people at the front were extremely friendly and were helpful with looking up train times for us. It was walking distance from the train station which was incredibly helpful since we went to both Sorrento and Naples from Pompei. We loved the colors in the rooms! Our...

We visited Pompeii for a day, stayed at the Diana Hotel. They were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Continental breakfast did not have any hot items such as eggs etc but there was a good assortment of fruits, yogurts, cold cuts etc. Very neat rooms all fixtures worked well. It was very affordable, close enough to the ruins and restaurants....

I'm sure there are more luxurious places to stay in Pompeii, but this is the place for a clean, comfortable stay close to the ruins. The rooms are small but cheery, large bathroom, good beds (for Italy). The garden is a delight, good breakfast, beer and wine available at the desk.
The front desk is extremely helpful, from restaurants to...

Absolutely lovely (orange trees on the patio), friendly, cheerful, helpful staff (most speak some English but encouraged my speaking Italian). No need to take a cab from the main train station; the hotel is a short walk away. We reserved the room one day and then extended two, then three, then six nights. Nadia on the front desk gave us...

The room was bright and colorful painted in citrus colors. The bedding and towels were clean and fresh and did I mention - monogrammed! Toiletries were provided. There is a pretty little garded out the back door with citrus trees. So pretty and restful!
Breakfast exceeded our expectations! We had breads and spreads, cheeses and meats, an assortment of breakfast...
