You physically could not stay any closer to the ruins of Pompeii. Literally you step out of the hotel and there is the entrance to the ruins. And that's what sold it to me, however if you are planning a long stay in Naples, or in fact Pompeii itself i would say stay elsewhere but if you are only going... More

Hotel Vittoria was in a good location for the ruins and the staff were friendly, when they looked up from the computer!! Food disgusting, we saw staff smoking in the food prep areas and also caught a waiter smoking in the dining room at breakfast time. The cold meats and cheese were left uncovered and unrefrigerated flies were everywhere!! even... More

The rooms were just good, not really big, but good. You can hear some sound from the road next to the hotel, but if you close the door to the balcony, the sound is bearable. I really didn't like the food, barely any vegetables and the sauce tasted like it was bought in the supermarket and not self-made.

Staff was wonderful! Friendly greeting each time we came downstairs. Genuinely interested in making us comfortable. Great location near entrance to ruins and train station. Very nice breakfast, good choices and prompt service. Dinner in the hotel was excellant. Room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Would immediately recommend this hotel to others and would stay there on future visits.

Traveling from naples to positano, this was a great stop. Beautiful view of the ruins. Close to Herculean as well. Quiet, comfortable, easy to find from the local subway/train. Had a great night rest. Breakfast was one of the better ones....both pastry, fruit and yogurt.

We initially booked in for one night, as we were touring Italy by car, we needed a hotel with parking. Yes the car park area looked small but easily fitted in 8 cars and they found parking for others as needed. The staff were so friendly, Daniella greeted us on arrival and was there each day, she was the best... More

I wrote about our stay in Pompeii in great detail on my blog (Google "Thrifty Gypsy's Travels"), but here are some excerpts about our experience. The hotel was incredibly easy to find and only a five minute walk from the Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri train station. As we entered the hotel and made our way to the front... More

We too, chose this hotel for its price and location, and it delivered. We wanted to see the ruins of Pompei, on our way to Praiano on the Amalfi coast, and we could not have been happier with the Hotel. Was it a place to stay for an extended vacation, no. Was it perfect for our particular needs, absolutely. It's... More

A hotel is only as good as its employees, and that is where I have such mixed feelings. I called to make my reservation, instead of doing it online, because I was travelling with my dog and he definitely exceeded their 10 kilo pet policy. He is a huge black lab, and he is my service animal. I rarely explain... More

Good morning I would like to clarify some points with you. Firstly if you had a bad experience in our Hotel I apologize, we do try to offer a good customer service , and as you said it was not all negative. I remember the staff telling me about your licence plate, but I believe that on the morning in... More

We chose this hotel because of it's price and location to the Pompeii ruins. It couldn't have been any closer!! The staff were friendly and we had a very clean room with a nice view. I would go here again!
