I wrote about our stay in Pompeii in great detail on my blog (Google "Thrifty Gypsy's Travels"), but here are some excerpts about our experience. The hotel was incredibly easy to find and only a five minute walk from the Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri train station. As we entered the hotel and made our way to the front... More

We too, chose this hotel for its price and location, and it delivered. We wanted to see the ruins of Pompei, on our way to Praiano on the Amalfi coast, and we could not have been happier with the Hotel. Was it a place to stay for an extended vacation, no. Was it perfect for our particular needs, absolutely. It's... More

A hotel is only as good as its employees, and that is where I have such mixed feelings. I called to make my reservation, instead of doing it online, because I was travelling with my dog and he definitely exceeded their 10 kilo pet policy. He is a huge black lab, and he is my service animal. I rarely explain... More

Good morning I would like to clarify some points with you. Firstly if you had a bad experience in our Hotel I apologize, we do try to offer a good customer service , and as you said it was not all negative. I remember the staff telling me about your licence plate, but I believe that on the morning in... More

We chose this hotel because of it's price and location to the Pompeii ruins. It couldn't have been any closer!! The staff were friendly and we had a very clean room with a nice view. I would go here again!

My wife and I went to Pompei by a local train from Napoli, the station where we got off is called Villa Misteri, the nearest railway station to the Ruins of Pompei. It was not something exciting to get off at this small station at 9 o’clock in the late evening at the beginning of February. There was no taxi... More

We just spent 2 nights at Hotel Vittoria (2 adults, 2 kids aged 3 and 5). The location was perfect – right across the street from the ruins and a 5 minute walk (with small kids) from the Pompei Scavi train station. Daniela at the front desk was warm, welcoming and wonderful! She was a wealth of information about what... More

Excellent Service. Clean, Safe and Convenient. Building looks little bit old, but it is 200 years old, so you can't expect better. The hotel has been in business for 80 years. They are well located right near the Pompeii excavations main entrance. Very close to the Villa Dei Misteri train station. Best location for an overnight stay. We took the... More

Having visited the area before and returning with grown up family, our party consisyed of 8 adults. We knew how handy the hotel was for the ruins and with a large Carrefour supermarket just up the road easy for snacks and drinks. As we were going to use the circumvesuvius railway, that was also a consideration at its extremely close... More

It’s a short walk from the Circumvesuviana train station and conveniently located across from the entrance to the Pompeii Ruins. We enjoyed our stay; our large room, on the top floor, with a terrace facing the ruins was a plus. They served a good continental breakfast and the staff was very helpful too. It’s an easy straight walk into town... More

My review is purely based on lunch and the service, as we didn't stay overnight. We had just done the tour of the "ruins" and walked out very hot and hungry. We were sat down immediately, and both the entree and main came very quickly, not to mention the drinks were fast as we were clearly thirsty! The food was... More
