We stayed at Hotel Villa dei Misteri in winter so it was eerily quiet. The owner was lovely and provided a great service however. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool and enjoyed the nice continental breakfast. The hotel is so well located near the Pompeii ruins it provides a huge advantage. Recommended.

I don't know when is the last time I stayed in a hotel room that only has a bath with no standup shower unit. There was a shower attachment but it could only be used if you we're sitting in the bath. Also no hairdryer in the rooms. The rooms are very dated. We had air conditioning but couldn't control... More

What can i say!!!! This motel is a clone of tbe Bates motel from the Hitchcock film psycho. Im sorry we couldn't wait to leave . Last renovated in the early '70s yes it was clean but both the hotel and staff very very Creeeeeeeepy. Didn't feel safe or wanted. I dont give bad reports unless they are warranted and... More

This hotel was beautiful to look at, but that's as far as it went. We had 3 beds in our room and all of them left a lot to be desired, but one of them was literally concave and the frame was visibly tilted (one end significantly higher than the other). On the day we arrived it happened to be... More

We booked this hotel as we got a very reasonable price for a triple room and we wanted somewhere that had a pool so we could escape the hotel summer sun. The room itself was basic and the choice at breakfast was very limited. The pool however is brilliant and just what you need after walking around Pompeii. The hotel... More

If you get the Internet price this place is a bargain and even if you have to pay full price you shouldn't overlook this place. PROS * 5 minutes walk to Pompei ruins & Vesuvius bus trips. This means you can arrive early before the crowds and have the place to yourself for an hour or so. Also means that... More

The pool is fantastic - clean, lots of seating, and a much needed way to cool off. It's the only reason to stay here. Location is great too, right near train and Pompeii entrance. Restaurant is so-so - the gnocchi and tomato sauce tasted a bit like Chef Boy R Dee, but yummy. Spaghetti carbonara the second night was well... More

We found it on a website for camper users. As we wanted to visit Pompeii excavations all day long and needed a quiet place to spend the night, Villa dei Misteri turned out to be ideal, first of all thanks to its perfect location at just 300 m from the main entrance of the ruins. What's more, when we arrived... More

I would not stay here again, everything could be considered ok, but the lady on reception was terrible, this is a few years ago, rude and lazy, the food was ok, It was summer time when we were there and the hotel was not even full, yet asking for a cof that you were paying for was like an act of... This motel is steps from the train station and the entrance to Pompeii. The owners are helpful and nice. We stayed in room 28. The room was average size and clean, but very tired. The bed dipped so much that I had to take a pillow and lay it in the middle just to sleep. The breakfast was average.
