I have stayed at this hotel many times and I would never stay anywhere else. It is horrible in some respects, perfect in others. The overall atmosphere of the place is consistent with the city of Pompeii (modern) itself - sort of nice, but also sort of seedy. I LOVE the pool in the shape of a Roman vessel, and... more
We booked Villa dei Misteri through Venere website, for a couple of days in June. It is worth the price. It is within walking distance from the train station (Pompei Villa dei Mistery) and Pompei archeological site is just in the other side of the street ! However, it´s a 10 min walk to the entrance of the ruins. It... more
This hotel was in a great location. Walking distance to the ruins and from the train station. Food was not bad, room was clean.Paid extra for air conditioning and it didn't work in one of our 2 rooms.Don't open the french doors for air. We were inundated by mosquitoes!! Pool was nice because it was very very hot! more
For location this hotel was great, being just a short walk from the ruins. But at night Pompeii is just dead, literally. If we were going to do Pompeii again we'd definitely just make a day trip of it or get a decent hotel somewhere outside of Pompeii. The hotel service was below par, it was difficult to get assistance... more
We booked this hotel through venere.com. The directions that were given to us were very poor. It stated to get off at the Pompei train station and walk for about 150m. Well...there are TWO Pompei train stations. One is Pompei and the other is Pompei Villa dei Misteri. Make sure you get off at the Pompei Villa dei MIsteri train... more
This hotel was everything we needed it to be. It had plenty of free parking in secure, gated lot. It is also a short walk from the train station and the ruins. The people at the desk were very helpful (and spoke English) even though we arrived at 5am due to a flight delay. The room was adaquate, and it... more
This hotel is located close to the Pompeii Scavi and Circumvesuviana train station. It was reasonably priced. The night manager, Carlos, was helpful and pleasant. My husband and I found this to be a good base for visiting the Archeological Museum in Naples, Herculaneum, Mt. Vesuvius, and Pompeii. more
We booked the Misteri based on previous Tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. The hotel has the feel of a large American motel with plentiful free parking and rooms curved around a pool. Our room was large with a dated but charming 1950s feel and nice balcony. Best of all we were just a five minute walk to Pompeii's entrance... more
This was our final hotel in Italy on a journey that started in Venice and it was definitely our favourite and the best value for money. It is a warm friendly family run establishment. The pool is a delight after a hot day out exploring the wonderful archaeology of the area, the beer is cold and the restaurant serves tasty,... more
