I have been a guest at the Hotel Forum on four previous holidays at Pompeii. The building and grounds are very clean and well cared for. Lemon trees and flowers adorn the yard and garden areas of the hotel. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel welcome and at home. My room was very clean, well appointed... More

Good location, opposite the entry to the Roman Ruins at Pompei. Accessing the reception is a challenge, down a lane jammed full of tradesmens vans; help with parking and baggage would be expected at this price, but was not forthcoming. However, free parking is in a good location nearby. Incredibly, there's no elevator to the three floors of front rooms... More

Looks good from the outside, but once you get into the room..... That's another story. Not that I've been in jail, but the room is sparse, bed was very hard.... Even for roman standards.... Bathroom was brutal, and could not even turn around in it. Tried to plug in my iPhone but no sufficient electrical outlet. Even though it's a... More

I stayed there with my wife and grandson who has now visited the main 'classical centres' - Valley of the Kings, Ephesus, Rome and Athens - this trip almost completes his classical education. A pleasant hotel, excellently sited just a few yards from the Amphitheatre entrance to the old City. At the time of my visit, undergoing some substantial room... More

Funny how different people's experiences can be at the same hotel. We stayed one night in mid-March during a bit of remodeling by the lobby (during the mid-day hours only). Everyone was extraordinarily nice and helpful. More than just the "usual" friendliness in helping with a place for dinner, and an afternoon bottle of wine in the little lobby/bar area,... More

My partner is a wheelchair user so we booked the disabled room on the ground floor. There are three steps up to this but the hotel has portable ramps which provide a moderate incline so you will need an able bodied companion to provide a hefty shove on the ascent and brake on the descent. Be warned, the room is... More

Hotel Forum was my perfect choice for 3 nights in Pompeii. I needed a hotel that would be convenient to transportation and the Ruins and comfortable for a solo woman. Hotel Forum absolutely was a great choice. Location is perfect as it's directly across from the entrance to the Ruins and close to several good restaurants. Very close to the... More

We went here last week - the hotel itself is really nice and the breakfast was lovely. However - we were given a room on the ground floor next to the office - it had 2 bathrooms - one being an accessible bathroom with wet room shower - however it would not be suitable for anyone with disabilities because there... We chose the Hotel Forum because it is literally across the road from the gates of Pompeii. Fantastic position for exploring the area and the best hotel in the strip in my opinion. Clean, modern with a lovely lemon garden, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I had e-mailed in advance and they arranged for a cab to collect... More

+ Satisfactory room from a size point of view, clean, tv, balcony, good king size bed. Location for the ruins and the 2 train stations of the town just perfect - although closer to the Sanctuary than to the other one. Good breakfast and lovely breakfast room, as well as superb inner courtyard and garden with beautiful lemon trees. 1... More
