Location: 200m from Pompeii site. Room: a bit old but clean and quite. No view in my case (dont care). Great coffee, good breakfast lots of choice. Staff: Friendly people, helpful and informal which was nice. Underground garage they help you park and get your car when you need it! Dinner: about 15m from hotel you have La Cantinella: Cheap,... more

Not a hotel full of frills, we thought this hotel was well worth the price. The staff was friendly and helpful, and their continental breakfast more than adequate. We were in a triple, as I was travelling with my stepdaughter (in her 20's) and my son, age 12. The room was very spacious and quiet. Walk from the train to... more

stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 kids in a family room for four, ok it was a small room, but good value and everything very clean. Nice and close to the ruins, the back entrance is the closest to the hotel, so nice and quiet for getting in. The other good thing was that the hotel offered secure... more

Been wih my family back in October. The stay at the Amleto Hotel has been really excellent. We've felt very welcome since the arrival: they've taken care right away of our car (they have a free garage right underneath the hotel), then every time we needed some information they were so kind and professional. The hotel is small but it... more

My mother, stepsister, and I stayed at Hotel Amleto for 3 nights and 3 days and just loved it! The staff were very friendly, welcoming, professional, and willing to accomodate our needs. We arranged a private tour of Pompeii and had problems getting in touch with our Italian guide from the US so they did it for us! At no... more

You could be anywhere in the world in a lot of four star hotels but we really did feel that we were in Italy at the Amleto. I travelled with my husband and seven year old son. We stayed at the Amleto for three nights. Our room was on the first floor and it was noisy at night but pulling... more

As others have noted, the "4-star" label applied to some Italian hotels seems rather generous, but I realized after our trip that if a hotel has a garage, it is a 4-star hotel. Since we did not have a car on our trip, the garage was unnecessary to us, so we did not utilize it. The lobby is beautiful, as... more

We stayed for one night to visit the ruins which are a 5 minute walk away (not the main entrance). The staff were really friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. It was a nice sized room with a balcony, but the spartan decor was not 4 star in my opinion. The bathroom was large but 30 years out... more

Stayed for three nights in October and this hotel was not what we expected.Be warned that this is not a four star hotel. We booked a family room. The room was small and clean but had seen better days. The furniture was old and damaged. The bunk bed was stained and damaged. The shower did not function properly. When we complained we... more

Wondefult hotel. Absolutely perfect if you are staying in Pompeii for a night. Clean rooms, great breakfast, free internet usage, and a phenomenal view from the balcony. I highly recommend spending a nite at the top of the hotel. Walking distance from the ruins. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommend it. You could not ask for more. more
