On arrival in Naples by train, you need to cross the Garibaldi Square (keep to the right hand side of it) and then walk on for some 2-3 minutes in direction north-west to reach the hotel located at some side square named Piazza Umberto. This route is the first schock you get. It not only a total chaos (Naples traffic... more

We chose this hotel because of it's location close to the central station, and think we chose well. The area is pretty nasty, with a (literal) flea market outside the front of the hotel every day, but we never felt threatened. Keep your heads down and look like you know where you're going. The rooms are standard business traveller hotel,... more

I was really surprised by how friendly this staff was when I asked her on about ways of getting around in the city. You know, the time when a customer keeps on asking questions and yet the staff remains very patient and keeps on smiling. It really made my stay at Naples much easier to know of ways of getting... more

This hotel has been criticized in several reviews for its location in a dirty, unsafe location near the railway station. This is true, but hardly the fault of the hotel. The hotel itself is quite pleasant, with a very friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is also surprisingly quiet. The best feature of the hotel is the top-floor breakfast room, which... more

This hotel was great - it was a haven to come back to after spending a day in the insanity of Naples! It was clean, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was fine. Although the area is not the greatest looking, we felt perfectly safe walking around even late at night. Transport links are great, the old quarter with its... more

After reading some of the last reviews I was chocked, is that the same hotel I've stayed in? What can a hotel do for it's surrounding's? Yes the hotel is placed in Naples, it's close to the railway and has the public transport with buses and trams just 30m from the door. But they're not responsible for the trash in... more

The Best Western Hotel Plaza is the only clean spot in the entire city of Naples which is in itself an outdoor spetic tank. The rooms are clean and the staff is helpful. Don't expect more because that's it! Breakfast is the usual pastry, weak coffee, sour orangejuice and some glop the Europeans adore. A cross between yogurt and sour... more

Do not expect to get what you booked and paid for at this hotel. We booked a superior room with a king size and single bed room through Best Western with their internet special and paid in full without refund. The first room we were shown was very small with a double and a camp bed squeezed in, we asked... more

After reading the Tripadvisor reviews, I expected this hotel to be far better than it was. We travelled from Rome to Pompeii and stayed at this hotel because it was close to the train station before we departed to Amalfi. This hotel is definitely a budget hotel, 2 stars at most. The room and shower were extremely small and uncomfortable,... more
