Ok so to be honest, the hotel is totally not 4 star by any standard and the neighbourhood does seem a little dodgy at first ............... BUT I would 100% recommend it to anyone going to Naples who is there for the culture and to explore all that the old town has to offer! Naples itself is not the cleanest... More

I made a reservation months earlier and received confirmation but when I arrived I was told there was a tiny problem with my reservation - that they had no availability. I had chosen this hotel because it was a perfect location for my Naples plans - I am disabled and cannot walk far - and I pointed this out but... More

This hotel is located in a great spot - just off via Tribunale, so for the real Naples, you are slap bang in the middle. That said, it is not noisy. So the hotel was fine, and staff were really helpful. Breakfast was included, which was fine, but the best was the location. I would recommend this hotel.

We were extremely dissappointed with our room, and even more disappointed by the service. The Lonely Planet book said this hotel had 4-star rooms. Well, they are wrong. When we got into our room, the entire floor was covered in water because the air conditioning unit had been leaking for who knows how long. The stench was even worse. When... More

It took two hours to find this Hotel that is tucked away on a small courtyard off a road barely wide enough to be considered an alley in the heart of Naples. Turns out it is on the south side of the Duomo (San Generro) and really is a very old building transformed into a hotel. The ceilings could accommodate... More

We had a very pleasant 5 nights at the Caravaggio. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly, we couldn't fault them. We were given a map of the area and lots of suggestions about where to visit on arrival by the lovely receptionist, Irania. Some people have said they found the Via Tribunali noisy but this is Naples a... More

Upon first experience with this hotel the desk staff is extremely friendly and very insightful with information on where to eat and what to see, with directions of where to go. Any questions we had they were able to accommodate and were very helpful and professional. Unfortunately this experience at Caravaggio took a turn for the worst when our (first)... More

It was a very pleasant 3 nights stay in Naples and thanks to the lovely staff of Caravaggio Hotel for making it even nicer. The hotel is located at a very central spot, giving you best access to many historical buildings, lovely places to eat and also a walking distance to the train station if you don't have much luggage.... I absolutely hate writing a bad review but just can't recommend the Caravaggio. First, the good: 3 out of 4 staff were lovely and one of those was an absolute delight (Ilemia was a sweetheart) but the oldest member of staff (manager?) - well, it's very obvious that he doesn't like the English when he rants on in rapid Italian,... Hotel located right in the centre of centro storico. Very helpful staff which make you feel at home. Rooms very clean and tidy and delicious continental breakfast. When I go again to Naples I will definitely reside In this hotel. Augustine Masini - Gozo Malta
