We had a very pleasant 5 nights at the Caravaggio. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly, we couldn't fault them. We were given a map of the area and lots of suggestions about where to visit on arrival by the lovely receptionist, Irania. Some people have said they found the Via Tribunali noisy but this is Naples a... More

Upon first experience with this hotel the desk staff is extremely friendly and very insightful with information on where to eat and what to see, with directions of where to go. Any questions we had they were able to accommodate and were very helpful and professional. Unfortunately this experience at Caravaggio took a turn for the worst when our (first)... More

It was a very pleasant 3 nights stay in Naples and thanks to the lovely staff of Caravaggio Hotel for making it even nicer. The hotel is located at a very central spot, giving you best access to many historical buildings, lovely places to eat and also a walking distance to the train station if you don't have much luggage.... I absolutely hate writing a bad review but just can't recommend the Caravaggio. First, the good: 3 out of 4 staff were lovely and one of those was an absolute delight (Ilemia was a sweetheart) but the oldest member of staff (manager?) - well, it's very obvious that he doesn't like the English when he rants on in rapid Italian,... The hotel is very good, staff ditto, but the hotel is very hard to find because if you walk from the nearest metro stn (Cavour), even if you speak a bit of Italian, locals don't know this small piazza Cardinale S Riario Sforza. It really doesn't look like a square ... more like a patio or a 'cortile'. No clear... More

The Hotel is in the historic centre of Naples, which is a UNESCO world heritage site, full of old buildings and cobbled streets. It is a lively area, full of small shops, pizzeria and coffee shops. It was ideally located for visiting the Duomo, Archaeological museum and the church opposite the hotel had a great art collection including a Caravaggio.... More

From the entrance to the hotel room it was old and dirty. The entrance of the hotel was an area for smokers, full ashtrays and smell of cigarettes in the reception area. The elevator didn't work so we had to use the stairs which are located outside the hotel. The room was big but once again old and dirty, the... More

What a great location it's so Italian and definitely not for people who like branded hotels. You can walk to the train station about 15 minutes to do Pompeii or Vesuvius (30 min). Taxi to the port is about €15 you can get a boat to Capri or Sorento. 210 is the room to stay in breakfast is basic Italian... More
