This is a below average hotel. The staff was friendly, although they did not speak much English. The problems with the hotel are mainly with its location. It is far from the airport and tourist locations and across the street from what appeared to be an abandoned zoo!! This was the most scared I was on our entire trip to... More

Positives: Cheap hotel with friendly staff Negatives: Train line literally runs at the back of the hotel so if you like sleep you can have the window open. The air con "is only switched on when it's hot"...which I assume means about 50C! Of course, one could always open the window.... This hotel is in a dodgy area of a... More

Extremely helpful staff. Speak slowly as they don't understand much English so can appear standoffish but they really are NOT. Complimentary breakfast is just that! Not a lot of choice but toast, coffee, croissant or cornflakes is breakfast!!!! Bathroom floor got wet everytime the bathplug was pulled out. But as the room was a base for the night it was... More

My son and I needed a no frills budget hotel for a visit to the near bye FC Napoli stadium for a Champions League game. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially a lady who I think was the propriotress. The room was basic but adequate and clean. On our return from the match the bar was opened for... Super value hotel and a good base to explore Naples and surrounding area. Rooms are clean and basic - cleaned each day. We booked flights and managed to get to hotel fairly easily using the Alibus and train because it's next to Edenlandia Zoo/theme park. Breakfast was good, cereal, fruit etc. Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Rita on reception... More

Got booked in here with a travel package and it was horrible. One of the worst places I've ever stayed. I think we were the only people in the whole place. the carpet is filthy and I had a hard time just getting past that. It's not even near anything you'd want to see so pick another place and if... This place is in a nicer area of Naples- it is slightly outside the center-center (the dangerous/dirty area). I would suggest staying in Capri or Sorrento over Naples just due to the dirtyness facter. Back to the hotel- the staff was GREAT!! They were so friendly and nice. If you have kids this would be a great place to stay... More

We stayed at the hotel for 3 days just before flying back home. We had already been staying in few other hotels in the same area of Naples. But, this was the best one! Unfortunately, we did not speak any Italian at all. However, it was not an issue as the hotel staff speak English well. The hotel was very... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Domitiana is a comfortable hotel located in the western area of Naples, in the exhibition centre, recently renovated, with progressive and continuous updates in structures and installations which, however, have retained unchanged the style wanted by the architect Ferdinando Chiaromonte and the designer Gio Ponti. The hotel offers its guests a three- star holiday, but with a high standard treatment, it is ideal for a high quality tourism thanks to its location and the professionalism of its staff, always attentive to customer needs. In fact, though it is located in a wooded and healthy area, it is very well connected to the old town, just a few minutes from the Metro station. In less than 10 minutes it can then be reached the most fascinating sites Not far away there are, instead, the baths of Le terme di Agnano – a place which is also famous for the hippodrome – and the picturesque area of archaeological interest of Campi Flegrei, where you can visit the Solfatara, Piscina Mirabilis, the Casina Vanvitelliana located on Lake Fusaro, the Antro della Sibilla Cumana, the arch of the Roman Aqueduct and il Tempio di Serapide.Even children and their families can enjoy their holidays in Hotel Domitiana because 20 meters far from the hotel there are the Zoo of Naples and Edenlandia playground, the largest amusement parks in Southern Italy. The hotel is also 800 meters far from San Paolo stadium hosting soccer matches of SSC. Napoli soccer team, from Pala Eldo / PalaBarburbuto, site of the main matches of neapolitan basket teams, from Scandone Pool, from CUS – Cittadella dello Sport (Sport centre) and the shooting range. Finally, it is only 500 meters far from Teatro Palapartenope / Casa della Musica and 800 meters from Arena Flegrea, both locations of itinerant concerts and performances in the neapolitan area. ... more   less
