My husband and I JUST stayed with Vincenzo (Enzo) at Il Campanile June 2014. First, Enzo is very friendly and extremely helpful. He greeted us with a big smile and showed us directly to our room, which was spacious, clean and even had a small balcony. It was absolutely lovely. Enzo speaks little English, but we were able to communicate... More

My husband and I stayed here in April 2014 for 3 nights after the Easter holiday. We found it to be clean, modern, and affordable, but lacking in it's support and service for guests. If you do not speak Italian and it's your first trip to Napoli, I would absolutely not recommend you stay here. The manager is very nice... More

We stayed here three nights in early July of last year. I'm writing the review now because I'd hoped to resolve my issues with the proprietor but he continues to ignore my inquiries. You see, he charged us for four nights instead of the three that we stayed. He acknowledged the oversight at first, but now that we're asking for... More

We spent three nights over Easter weekend in Il Campanile. The location is great, right in the historical centre of Naples. After a long climb, our room was surprisingly modern and spacious. We really slept well all 3 nights here. The owner Enzo is a very friendly guy, and despite him having no English, and our limited Italian, we could... More

FANTASTIC location, clean, modern, moderately priced, safe and hospitable. Our host was lovely and his smile and lively personality is a Neapolitan welcome. Though this B and B did not have an elevator, there was a bit of a hike up to the rooms and the entrance is through a shop, it was very much well worth it and highly... More

I stayed at Il Campanile in Naples during November, and had a wonderful time. The room I had was very clean, newly redone, a large and comfy bed. The bathroom was large, spotless and had lots of hot water. It's in a terrific location—right on San Gregorio Armeno between Via Tribunali and Spaccanapoli. What an amazing street: so full of... i am an experienced world traveler of mature years, picky on hotels (but not overly so), who does much advance research on my travels, including the accommodations, and therefore is rarely really disappointed in them. everyone on this tripadvisor seems to love this place, so i'll give it a "very good" instead of an "average", but it was actually pretty... We shared a taxi ride with another couple from Positano to Napoli. The other couple departed at the train station and we continued on. After fighting the Naples traffic the driver said this is as far as he could go, “I must turn right and the B&B is down the alley to left.” I was vaguely apprehensive as it was... More

The location of the B&B is very central and worth 6 stars, at the heart of the old city and close to many excellent pizzerias. We arrived at around 9pm and someone was waiting for us in the street to give us the key (luckily for him we didn't stop for dinner going to the B&B after having landed in... More

Once again I stayed at this excellent B&B, this time for four nights, after a quick trip to Puglia. Enzo was, as ever, very welcoming and made my stay fantastic in every way. The B&B is excellent in every way, spotlessly clean, very modern and completely to my taste. Despite the language barrier we had many great conversations and his... More
