Stayed 3 nights in July. Although the hotel is Grand, it seemed to lack atmosphere. There didn't appear to be many people staying here and the bar always seemed empty. My room was a good size, clean, well furnished and overlooked an internal courtyard. The air conditioning was noisy so I turned it off at night. Breakfast was adequate with... More

We have stayed in larger hotels in Naples but this is smaller and more intimate as we were having a family reunion. The staff were friendly but some of the breakfast staff could do with learning that a smile goes a long way.The food at breakfast was good but had rather a lot of cakes! The location is so good not... More

We left Positano, and drove via a stop off in Pompei up to Naples for the last night of our trip. We arrived in Naples mid morning. We had already dropped the hire car off before arriving at the hotel, and came in by taxi. Bellboys were on hand to bring in our luggage, we got checked in, and headed... More

Very nice hotel. The staff was overall very friendly. Allthough the staff at breakfast was always grumpy. She managed to neglect us every time and we had to ask her if we could get some coffee, and this happend every morning. The staff at conciërgedesk were very friendly in trying to help us finding something to do, but they didn't... More

We stayed here one night for the opera and it was fine. But it was very tired. The corridors have large scratches and in our room we couldn't work Sky, the shower was broken so you had to remove part of the metal to get it it work. The air con was really loud too! The staff were nice though,... More

Naples is like no other Italian City. It is a blend of chaos and artistic. The locals believe traffic laws are optional. But if you can make your way to the port and beyond and get to Santa Lucia, this grand hotel is worth what could be a hour of clogged 1-2 mph traffic. It is quite beautiful with great... More

This is a beautiful hotel--so elegant, tasteful and full of history. One of the best places to stay in Naples! I don't understand what the other reviewers are saying about the air-conditioning--ours worked fine. Fabulous views from the rooms and it's right in front of the harbor and Castel Dell'Ovo. A short walk from the Palazzo Reale and Teatro San... More

As others have noted this hotel is past its prime. Also, we were visiting in a very hot July, and - as noted by another - the AC does not work well. The staff were not at all helpful, and only told us to wait. Three times over the course of two days. Internet is sketchy. Good location, nice view,... More

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, and our room was quite nice. What is wrong you ask. When we arrived at the hotel (1pm) we were told that the air conditioning was not working, but maintenance was working on the problem, and it should be fixed in a couple of hours. No problem, we would go out, and explore the city, and... More

I wanted to love this place. The grand entrance and majestic setting along the promenade showed that this hotel had potential. The room we had with a balcony and great view was large and spacious. Overall the room was tidy, but not exactly clean. The carpets that lined the floors were extremely old and not only showed its age, but... More
